Yeah, looks a lot like that SNL Black Widow parody, and it still looks like a better live action Superman property than Man of Steel.

CGI is hokey, but not super awful in some parts.

I'll give the pilot a shot at least.

Does seem similar to the Flash more than anything else.

Jimmy Olsen being a buff handsome black guy just seems weird. Not the black part of it, the rest.

Toymaker being her bestie is a bit strange. Haven't seen him in a long time and this was not where I expected to find him. That's some oldschool DC shit there.

Hank Henshaw being in this is interesting I guess. That's something that won't pan out for at least three or four seasons assuming it lasts that long.

I didn't hate Man of Steel, but like I said, this seems more like Superman than it did, even with the weird romcom trappings. Some people are suggesting it's an urban Smallville, but the later part of the series, which I'm also okay with. I believe Dean Cain has a cameo in the pilot, as well as Helen Slater, no word on exactly what they are doing in the show.

I'd have preferred the modern 'I hate humanity and this planet sucks' Kara. They could have easily played it for laughs and she would have been more interesting. Unfortunately, they kind of need Clark around to pull that off.

Also, I think she's going to be dating Jimmy Olsen. Let that sink in for a moment. Here's an image to help with that...

When is DC going to wise up and give us a live action Teen Titans show? I'd watch that in a heartbeat if it has anywhere near the level of writing the original did, and given how Flash and Arrow came out, I can't say they couldn't pull it off.

I'd take that as a replacement for Gotham gladly.

I heard Dean Cain and Helen Slater were cast as Kara's Earth Parents. Also, this iteration of Jimmy Olsen is late twenties/early thirties, black, and prefers to be called James.

As far as live action Teen Titans goes, TNT has been working on one for a while now, that is supposedly going to be focused around Nightwing. There was some update or other on it recently that said it was moving forward after no news for a long time, but I've no idea what the actual situation will be.

We all know why. We're just lucky they didn't call it "Girl of Steel".

I'm wary of this, but okay.

If he's Nightwing, is it really "Teen" Titans? Unless they're making him the chaperone for the group.

Looking it up, it seems that might be the case. The working title is Nightwing and the Teen Titans.

There's also word that it might be called The Blackbirds instead.

I'm not so sure this is going to work as they're planning it. Plus, it doesn't look that great for the future of the show that there are all these other superhero shows on television right now.
