All right, so this is my Character-Building Thread for the Artemis-verse. Feel free to add in whatever you think should be a staple for each character I put in. I'll characterize it with the main characters first, followed by important side characters and because they might spoil later, the villains last.
LEON TZAR
BACKGROUND:A part-time assistant to a studious old sorcerer that goes by the name of Halton, Leon is a Jack-of-all-Trades living in a town built on the face of the Mountain that goes by the name of Wiglaf, overlooking the Great Cold Forest down below. Leon dreams of joining an acting troupe and making it big on his own, but was rejected several times by a number of them, ranging from local production numbers to Guild-certified bands mainly because he couldn't carry his character.
He also works at the local Airship Port as a ropemaster on the nights of Friday and Saturday of each week, where he carries on with his friends Woodshank, a Dwarf, a Half-Orc called Drogba and a sarcastic Goblin named Hacker, who, like Leon, aims to work in an acting troupe as a Bard. He maintains an especially good bond with Hacker, as he was his first friend in Wiglaf.
Leon carries almost no charisma, according to his detractors, but is an exceptionally talented "shadow man" in that he is able to manipulate and twist situations with wordplay and baiting, all while keeping his audience off target and stumbling as he rambles on. He has mastered holding attention and manipulation, operating with guile and charm to make things seem what they are not when he puts a real effort into his methods. However, because of his tendency for subtlety, his character often fails to catch the eye of troupes during auditions. Being the assistant to a Sorcerer has also given him a talent for spontaneity and "out-the-box" thinking to cater to the needs of his employer.
Leon is a relatively new resident of Wiglaf, having only been in the town for two years; he was originally from another town before finding work, citing that acting opportunities did not come as often where he came from compared to Wiglaf.
Appearance: He is described as a round character, relatively short at five and a half feet tall. He has a chubby appearance and rosy cheeks due to their roundness and a small nose; he has been described as having a relatively stoic expression at times, as well as wide-eyed with an iris of bright blue. His hair is scruffy and walks the line between unkempt and ordered, an oakish-brown reaching the back of his neck. He is 19 years old.
Personality: Leon is evenly-tempered and prone to cheer and is generally friendly with those he knows; he is not knowledgeable in the arts of the arcane as much as he should, being an assistant to a Sorcerer. However, he is prone to bouts of depression and doubt especially when related to his shortcomings. He generally behaves in the manner that he wishes to keep things as grounded as possible. except when it comes to acting.
