Alright this came about while the beggining of a cold and need fo rsleep overcame me while looking at a update notice for 'more than a familier' and reading the description that said 'Harry explores the black library'

For minute my tired mind thought of a diffrent 'Black library'...and after some thought this small little bunny popped out that I think I'll share.

Okay cannoicaly we know there is a Eldar webway portal on Earth... teh Golden throne is set right on top of it.... but thats int he year 40,000

Lets rewind things back to the 1980's... and before... and wher eis the portal now?

My thought being that way back in history the Black clan met and made a deal fo rmystical knowledge with the Eldar. Even renaming their family the 'blacks' in honor of the secret library they have access to.

Do keep in mind this would take place WELL before the fall of the Eldar empire, and possibly even prior to the beginning of their degeneration that caused the fall, so some may be more open to allowing Monkeigh's access to the black library as slaanesh ahsn't been born yet to make them uber cautious... (hell even in 40k time some humans are allowed into the black library...)

Time passes.. the Blacks grow powerful.. other wizards hunger for the secret o fhte 'black library'.. but can only find the family library the few who can occasinaly break in.. which is nice but not really power shattering as the rumored 'true black library' is. Of course none of the other wizards know the BLack Library isn't even on earth (or the materium for that matter) and eventually as they get invovled in politics and back stabbings and wars... the black family forget the true source of their power as well... but the webway portal remains in the library even if no one knows how to open it...

cut to 1981 and for a slight change Sirus drops off Harry at grimmuald place ordering kreacher to keep him safe while he hunts down pettrigrew.... of course cannon events occur and Sirus gets thrown into azkaban... possibly with ppl assuming he did away with young harry as well...

meanwhile infant Harry crawls into the library only to run into a tall Eldar who ahs been waiting for him (Farseer or Harlequin)....

not sure where the story would go from there guess its up to the author... still thought?

edit:

Almost forgot.. one last cracky thought

House elfs= eldar who dabbled in Tzeentch warp craft and are punishe dby the Eldar empire (Or a amusing thought of Tzeentch) to their stunted form where they and their descendents must obey mere Monkeighs as retirubution fo rthier crimes?

Actually IIRC the golden throne is located in what used to be England.

On the location of the Games Workshop Headquarters, in fact.

If I remember correctly.

Seems like the kind of thing Games Workshop would do.

but that still means the idea could work.. if for a time the portal was in the black house in grimmuald before moving to Games workshop...

another thought... Nicholas Flamel= GEOM... who ahs been manipulating things for Voldermort and encouraging Dumbledores redemption kick... with teh idea that hte pure blood agenda will eventually breed the wizards out of existence...

Actually Rift given how large the damn thing is and the fact we don't know what city #12 Grimuld Place is located in....... the Golden Throne could easily be located right on it. From a certain point of view.

I thought that only Illuminati, those that had been possesd by a demon and had overcome the damn thing themselvs, and certain types of Harlquin were allowed access to it?

This would be very bad for all concerned....Eldar weapons are not something to laugh at.

In the post fall years it was.
in the 12-1900's not so much.
also the library would be a lot smaller now than after the fall.

Exactly the key thing to rememebr here is we are dealing with Pre-fall empire...

hell it could be argued its pre-degenercy eldar.. or at least in its early stages... all the Eldar Gods are still alive.... The warp is relativily stable and their are only 3 warp gods....

SOme Eldar classes probably don't exist int eh same way and the Eldars attitude towards younger races may be quite different...still probably arrogant...

Farseers probably still exist (after all tehy existed in some form enough to warn fo the comming of Slaanesh and needing to build the craft worlds...) adn teh Harlequins to but with less authority since the other Eldar gods and their followers are still around

which of course would raise the question what the Eldar might want with raising Harry.... any thoughts?

We have a future fall into corruption and the eventual death of their gods and destruction of their empire. On a species who not only has true Seers but gifts then with important positions on their society.

Raising Harry could perfectly be Step One (or Step Three Hundred Thousand and Seventy Four) of a plan to prevent the fall itself -and it might be a plan than will not be evident until seven thousand years fron now, when a chaos army with a vital general is destroyed by a patrolling strike force from the planet the wizarding world colonized under the directions on their Savior untold generations ago.

Alright a starting point for another author to take off from

Borrowing from Academia Nuts Thousand Shinji.... The Laughing God decides thigns are unsustainable and gets the idea of changing things in the past...

Of course the Eldar directly isn't really a option... direct past manipulations of them would just draw teh attention of Slaanesh...

The Monkeigh's on the other hand.... just might be a useable lever.

Going through the past the Laughing god notes a race of human Warp Sorcerers who developed while the warp was calm and the Ruinious powers were just awakening and relativily weak and unfocused. Allowing them to develop much farther along the path of being able to handle the warp safely. (think of it akin to learning to swim in bay, whereas psykers in 40k immaterium is akin to trying ot learn to swim by tossing you into the middle of the english channel )

Even the Eldar empire at the time, just starting to show signs of what will eventually develop into full blown degeneracy, had contacts with these sorcerers. One family even renaming itself in honor of being able to access the Black Library and charged with guarding the portal.

Unfortunatly the GEoM grew jealous, especially when Merlin was born and was strong enough to be considered a lesser peer (Not as strong as the GEoM, but enough to be considered a minor threat if they ever went head to head... )

So the GEoM first arranges the wizarding world to go into hiding, limiting their impact on the rest of Humanity and stifling their advancement. Than once he starts getting into sciene and understanding Genetics (17th-20th century I estimate), starts arranging things to kill off the Wizarding world gene...

Hence why he helped propped up Dumbledore and his policies of 'second chances', advancement, the pure blood society. Which stifiles the wizarding world, while slowly causing them to inbred to more manageble levels.. All without it seeming to be a attack on wizarding kind

Till eventually around the 22nd/23rd century... they are small enough that GEoM can wipe them out and engineer things so taht 'muggle borns' gene is eliminated...
for at least several thousand years till Psykers and navigators begin to emerge again. Only this time the Eldar empire is well into its decline, the Eldar emotions churning up the Immaterium as Slaanesh prepares to be born...

But what if the Wizarding world isolation ahd failed.... instead if they ahd emerged into Monkeigh society and allowed the monkey Psykers to evolve in calmer times so they could better handle the age of strife.... why... a race fo powerful human Psykers might even pose enough a challange to the Eldar to lesson their degeneracy and weaken Slaanesh (Nothing like a outside threat after all)

The Trick is for the Laughing god... is to find a Monkeigh pawn that is powerful enough, yet during a time period where the GEoM has other distractions so he doesn't just step in to squash this threat...

Looking through the annals of time the 20th century seems best... where the GEoM is busy trying to learn all the new technology that is popping up, while handling all the crisises of the world, Dealing with jealousy of other non psykers coming up with new tech that the GEoM didn't think up (he is a rather prideful figure)... A very busy time for a manipulator of the shadows.

And as far as the GEoM is concerend DUmbledore's policies is keeping the inbreeding and stagnacy of the Wizarding world on track... VOldermort is doing a nice job of pruning away those nails that might stick out... etc...etc..

Plus you have a prophesiesd boy who would be VOldermorts equal who has been powering himself up unnaturally.... a perfect Monkeigh tool there

Go back in time and give the Laughing God's prior self the right info... and a little thought nudge to Sirus about getting Young Harry to safety at his family home... where a house elf can keep a eye on him while he hunts down the traitor pettrigrew.

Grimmauld place a house the Black family has long forgotten contains a webway portal of the Eldar in signfigance of the familys one time Alliance with the aliens..

A place where a Harlequinn is waiting to take in Young baby Harry.....

HOws that ?

This would be worth reading, also, Harry wondering why he should respect Dumbledore because of his age when Dumbledores so young, not even Two Centuries old.
