The End of the World.

Ok, I was surfing tropes a little while ago, and stumbled across 'World Refugees'.
It's an interesting concept, not quite sure who came up with it, but...

World Refugees, part 1: The Earth has been taken over by Heartless, our homes, our families, everything except for the few meanger things we managed to scrounge up are all gone. Those of us who have survived have landed on foreign worlds that look scarily familiar and weÆve found ourselves trapped in a reality that isnÆt ours. How would you deal with this situation? Would you give up and die? Would you take up whatever weapon you could find, search for survivors and try to live? Would your heart be able to withstand everything? You wonÆt know until you try.

And Part 2

Part two: This time around, it's a little different. Things have changed since Sora defeated the darkness for the first time. Those who wished, were able to return home to Earth and take back their old lives. Those who wished to stay, have been on the same world since then, living out that time in whatever way they wanted, hopefully happy. Your happiness depends, or depended, on your ability to adjust and take in the world around you- the question is, how did you do it? And, can you survive the coming Darkness?

Supposedly, it was based around the idea of a zombie apocalypse. I haven't found actual content yet, but it's definitely an interesting concept.

Oh, and there were a few rules. You had to write yourself, as you were, with no special powers and no combat skills (unless you could justify them), and no one was allowed to have Keyblades.

Now, this was originaly made to be an RP, but hey! We have threads for zombie attacks. We have threads for videogames. We have people that will, hopefully, take the concept seriously.

Now, I know that there's already a 'How would you handle it' thread. Trust me, I've posted there. But I find my self wondering... how would you handle this modified SI?

Double post!
Another couple of interesting things about World Refugees. It ENDED! That was something I know I can appreciate. Do you know how hard it is to end a story and give it closure? Since I started working with comic club (22 pages to convey a contained original story. Harder than it sounds) I can.
Also, the only dues ex machina these people had, if I'm reading things right, is laptops and LJ. Seriously, that's how the 'story' was told. With LJ entries that somehow got to other survivors. If that isn't an interesting mechanic, I don't know what is.

Double Edit: What I'm trying to ask is if there's anyone here that's interested in replicating this? Only instead of LJ, using TFF?

Seriously though, I've read a little bit of this and it's scary funny. Scary, but amusing. This thing would take a lot of coordination and planning in advance (not to mention figuring out how the hell my clock corresponds to the TFF one), but it would be an interesting group project!
