The Leitmotif Mixing Challenge

This idea is simple: take a famous piece of music from a series, transplant it to a different series or genre, and write a scene inspired by it.

For example, take The Imperial March from Star Wars, and write a story set in World War Two.

When I think this, my minds' eye pictures German fighters and bombers taking off from their bases in Occupied France, heading out to crush the RAF, and invade Britain.

Intriguing idea.

Another challenge, then: the William Tell Overture, to something other than sports/competition, especially horse racing.
