So I come up with a lot of good/interesting/awful/wharrgarbl fanfic ideas. It's what I do. Sometimes I talk about these ideas with people, do a bit of brainstorming and nothing comes of it. Sometimes though the fic ideas are really really good. Or are New Game+. And for whatever reason I never get around to actually writing out any of the awesome ideas. I mentioned this fact to lightwave who immediately started this list of my ideas.
This is how I'm going to work my way through the fanfics and ideas that I've come up with over the years. At least once per week I'm going to post something having to do with one of the fics on this list, whether it's a chapter, timeline, commentary or snippet.
The List is noticeably heavy on Kingdom Hearts ideas, this is because I was most active on the TFF IRC as I was finishing the games, and lightwave is a fan.
Kingdom Hearts
365 minus 7. Rewriting parts of 365/2 to make the Organization more villainous, Roxas more ambiguous and the state of the Nobody bleaker. Oh, and Xion is a soul stealing abomination, like she was supposed to be.
Numbers: Fact challenge loosely connected to 365 minus 7, expounding on the differences between and motivations of individuals within Organization XIII.
Memory Link: Correcting an injustice that's bothered me since CoM. Sora didn't NEED to forget NaminÚ, from a narrative and (I'll bet) memory manipulating point of view. Now, he doesn't.
The Keyblade Prince. Role reversal, Kairi and Sora swap backstories.
Stolen Hearts. Sora loses his heart right at the start. Riku gains the Keyblade, but his late start means that the worlds are in much worse shape. And the new Roxas is very different from his amnesiac self.
Wardrobe Malfunction. Sora loses control of his Kingdom Hearts II forms because fairy magic has an expiration date. He goes to find the fairies to fix it, preferably before the merboy form humiliates him in front of his friends.
Muppet Hearts. Based on an idea in the Game Ideas thread. Pretty much exactly what it sounds like, except the Final Fantasy influences are replaced as well.
Baldur's Gate
A Pocketful of Bhaalspawn: The first idea I had here on TFF, asking and answering the age old question: What is worse than a child of the dead god of murder sowing chaos on the Sword Coast? Five of them.
Neverwinter Nights 2
The Third Crusade: Knight-Captain, Kalach-Cha and last Spirit-Eater Kasey returns to Crossroad Keep to gather an army to continue the Betrayer's Crusade.
Persona 3
New Game +: Minato Arisato meets Philemon at the end of time and returns to his year at Gekkoukan High School to fight for his life. Things change.
Valkyria Chronicles II
Chronicles of the Gallian Civil War: Darker take on VC2, shedding the high school drama to make room for the war story that is the game's real strength.
Code Geass
Lelouch's Counterattack: Giving Code Geass the ARSENAL/Key to a Successful Interview treatment. Take CG, add fanon, Gundam obsession, military history and spread some HOT BLOOD to the rest of Lelouch's family and voila.
Fallout
Tales of the Wastefarmer: I participated in zerohour's Christmas giftfic exchange, and the number 1 idea I had was a Fallout through the lens of Harvest Moon story. The outline has evolved since then; now there's a bit of the Magnificent Seven there at the end too.
Super Mario/Legend of Zelda cross
Princess Saving Time: I'm actually almost done with this, but haven't sat down and belted the words out. Probably the second thing I'll work on from this list, and likely to be the first completed project.
