Episode 4: Paint the Town - http://roosterteeth.com/archive/?sid=rwby&v=more

This episode is so metal! They even got combination attacks named after the pairings!

It turns into a glaive which then turns into a trident. Nice.

I would imagine producing a Paladin and training a pilot for it is cheaper than training a team of Hunters/Huntresses, especially if they need replacing. Then there's the maintenance costs.

Yea. Hunters seemed like the Rwby verse. version of Special Forces.

Aka. The best of the best type of thing. Since if you compare a Hunter to the normal soldier/Guard they go against. It's a Really wide margin skill wise.

In other news. The males of the series continue to be useless. Step it up Guys! *Except for Torchwick, he continues to be awesome.*

Torchwick is just the right blend of villain to keep you interested in him. Funny dialogue, with genuine moments where he seems like a threat, and he always gets away. Do you know how hard that is to get just right without going too far?

Also: Jaune Arc Fanfic

So, you know that epic song that played when Yang was beating the shit out of the robot, and a piece played during the credits? Someone cut it from the episode. Behold, Die! Listen before it gets taken down!

Lyrics:
It was just fine,
we lived in peace,
looked to a happy ending

The days were bright,
they shined like gold,
every step ascending

Our dreams came true,
our path was clear,
the moon watched safely from above

but every smile
is not the same
and every heart’s not filled with…..

Love for mankind
look around, it’s getting very hard to find.
Not every open wound is simply healed by time
but revenge is always sweet
and chaos is the prize!

Feel it everywhere and you see it growing,
enemies arise and the hate is flowing,
shattering the moon and bloodying the sky.
The machines of war will fuel both sides,
and the greed will only grow more lies,
farewell to days of peace cuz now it’s time to Die!

So I just had this image of an Ira Gamagori/Yang BROTP team up.

They both can take the hits, and give back twice as hard.

Instead of an episode this week, we are getting a worldbuilding session with Monty, Miles, and Kerry. All the details are in Grey's journal on the RT site.

Hey Beacon Students-

We have a unique lineup for RWBY fans this Thursday! This is an "off" week for new RWBY episodes, with Chapter 5 hitting next Thursday the 28th. BUT! We do have new content for you this week from the world of Remnant! Called... "World of Remant" ...which seems fitting. Anyhoo, this August 21st, at 3pm Central for Rooster Teeth Sponsors (and 7pm for general public), fans will get the first of several new "history lessons" exploring a particular corner of RWBY's world. And it's all fair game for the quiz... that you give us!

We're also doing a public livestream this Thursday at 5pm Central, here on RoosterTeeth.com! Join Monty, Kerry, Miles and the gang as they answer your questions based on being a third through Volume 2. You can begin leaving your questions now in the comments for this journal entry, and you'll also be able to tweet using #RWBY_QA during the livestream. As part of this stream we'll also be chatting with the RWBY animation team as they wrap up animation for all of Volume 2 this week! So anything goes: story, art, animation, tech, ask away!

See ya in a couple days,
g.

On the one hand, it will be informative... on the other, I want to see the fall out of last chapter.

Anyone else getting goosebumps at the thought of Cinder fighting Jaune?

Only because I'm fairly sure that Cinder would boil him in his armor-shirt thing. Poor guy just cannot catch up. Which is pretty accurate considering that he started training at most a month or two ago, while everyone else has at least years of experience.

I'm mostly referring to the fate to the original Joan of Arc. Though I guess Cardin may have a hand in things...:ph43r:

Jaune's Semblance is confirmed as defensive in nature in the DVD commentary, first seen in that flash when Cardin punches him. With that in mind I think Jaune could probably withstand some serious punishment before he's in danger of simply melting.

But clearly, he should weaponize this invulnerability by setting himself on fire and charging at his foes. They won't know how to handle a burning knight.

Maybe, but the fire would eat away at the oxygen he needs to breathe or he'd inhale the smoke. Just because the flames can't touch him doesn't meant that it won't kill him.
