I haven't read any of the new chapters yet, but random thought / idea I had...
In Season 1, there is a period of time between Bam being seen as a budding prodigy and then him later outing himself as an Irregular. During this time, Lo Po Bia Ren considered recruiting Bam into the royal army. I had the thought that if Bam was a female, then perhaps Ren would have considered recruiting girl Bam as a Zahard Princess candidate instead

I really hope Season 2 of the anime bunches arcs up in sets of 13 episodes (so 26, 39, etc), since 13 episodes would be good to put it right at the end of Devil of the Right Hand arc, right when Xia Xia declares the birth of the new slayer and blows up the Hand of Arlen.
Anime viewers would be all 'Huh. I'm not used to actually interesting strong villainous female characters instead of just waifus'

Some speculation a season 2 anime is in production farming twitter comments from some animators. Meanwhile, I've got a backlog of about 60 chapters to read through
The Tower of God: Great Journey mobile game releases in the west sometimes later this year
After allowing a considerable backlog to pile up over two hiatuses, I went and started reading again. About 89 chapters, going from roughly the start of the attack on the Nest (Season 3 chapter 50), up to what's on now. The first hiatus started at chapter 68, so that was 19 chapters to re-read in there.
The pace definitely feels a lot slower, if only because there's a lot of flashbacks going on for a lot of the bigger High Rankers and even some side characters, including one extremely relatable catgirl, and there are some chapters that are jaw-dropping long. I suspect the artist was still doing some drawing while on hiatus, so if he had some leeway with a backlog of chapters, he could have gone the extra mile and done super-sized chapters. One random thought is I was kind of hoping Sunwoo Mare from Season 1 to finally return after two full seasons as a part of LPB family, something like 'all Anima are invited to join the LPB family' sort of deal, but that didn't happen
We get another Family Head introduced, who definitely makes a big impact.
Tower of God is literally getting a(nother) tournament arc. But this is a tournament arc with the reward being Baam's hand in marriage. So waifus everywhere. And apparently Princesses even will be entering (I guess ensnaring a rogue Irregular in the political system outweighs the 'thou shalt not knoweth a man' edict for Princesses). This is basically putting the fox in the henhouse. Or with Baam's personality, a hen in the foxhouse.
Lilial be like: I HATE him, so I'm going to attack him in a way that gives him a perfect upskirt shot!
Best girl shows up again about chapter 132. Rachel is still just the absolute most perfect smug bitch ever, and it is why I love her so much
Also, Lo Po Bia Ren finally returns, trying to kill Baam. I was expecting years ago for Lo Po Bia Ren to finally return and conclude a symbolic 'the tutor has overcome the master' arc with Baam, given he was Baam's first Wave Controller teacher. Nice to see it's happening.
(If Rachel decides to enter the tournament, or LPB Ren somehow turns out to be female and also decides to enter, a hundred thousand ToG fans will scream out in horror)

. We also get some more development on Lo Po Bia Lilial, who starts to go on a psychotic power trip. So if Bam beats her up, that'll make her comeuppance even more satisfying.
Baam finally starting to get into a fight with Ren. Ren's possibly real appearance is finally shown in the webtoon, though wording implies it may just be another alternate body of his. You know how in shows like Lost, Game of Throne, etc., people try to analyse every single little thing and piece together stuff from disparate clues? Tower of God is probably the only medium I've seen where you have to pay attention to people's shoes, because I get a feeling Ren's shoes are going to be some massive foreshadowing thing.
In-universe has only been several days, maybe a couple of weeks at most since the start of the Nest battle. Something like 8-10 High Rankers have died in that time period. Imagine being ranked #1005 and you get a message from the Ranker Bureau that you're now a High Ranker, not because you got stronger, but because so many High Rankers died that now you slide up into the top 1%.
