For those of you looking for a free online browser game, I recommend Tribal Wars.

This game is awesome, it's all about building up your village, training troops, working up the tech tree, and eventually, taking over other villages.

It's PVP, you're against other players, although abandoned and empty bonus villages villages litter the map.

The goal: build an empire with you and your friends and crush the rival tribes/empires.

World 22 has started not long ago, 6/19, so now is a good time to get in on it.

Tribal Wars

Let's all join together and bring TFF into yet another world.

My name there is lordgeryon, so send me a message if you join in. ^_^

In case of attack, we can support one another by sending each other troops. So it's not necessarily an attack if troops are coming your way from an allied village. ^_^

EDIT: It's useful to farm abandoned villages, because it will greatly increase your income of resources. There is no limit on recommended farmings per day. The more the better.

I think we're kind of far away.

Also I want to buff up my Economy first, I seem to be in a somewhat low-tiered region, no one around me is above 100 points.

This game worl is very new Vex, less than a month of running time. Everybody is low points.

Work on your defense first, or you will be farmed. Let your troops farm other village for your resources.

Well, your the boss, I guess.

I've still got my Timber Farm in mid upgrade to level 5 though, but after it finishes I'm immediately going for HQ, then Barracks.

No sweat. I did do a couple upgrades myself before I went with the HQ for the barracks.

Waiting on the resources to build the barracks atm.

And I'm not the boss, not really. I was just first. If Urth decided to play, I'd give it over to him immediately.

When did Urth become the <s>un</s>official TFF overlord anyway?

Hey what sounds best for my first Village/City/War Throne?

Cathedral Terra
Cathedral Aer
Cathedral Incendia
Cathedral Unda

I'm leaning towards Incendia.

Incendia sounds awesome, yeah.

I chose Deepdown cause it sounds dwarven. :p

I like more Dramatic naming conventions personally. After I run out of prime elements I'll probably move to Latin.

Bellum Per - War Throne
Valde Vires - Great Strength

Granted, I'm using a translator, but should make enough sense.

Just went with Lae Taharnham, personally. Lae Taharn being a rather obvious corruption of Luthorne, Lae Taharnham should approximately mean Lae Taharn's Town/Hamlet/Whatever. Figured I'd go for something vaguely Celtic/Germanic/Whatever. In these sorts of things, I typically name my towns as references to some of the characters I used to play...

You can get as many as you can noble, but it takes time to get to that capability. And you have to take them from other players.

But you're limited to one account per world.

Ah, Cool.

Upgrading to level 3 HQ now, but I'm basically tapped of resources as a result.

Troops aren't cheap either.

A spearman, the most basic unit, requires 50 timber, 30 clay, and 10 iron, and each one takes 7 minutes to build with a level 1 barracks.

This isn't a fast start game. :p

How many troops do I need to rape a village? Or defend myself?

It depends entirely on the number of troops the village has, how upgraded their wall is, what kind of troops your sending(spears are mostly defensive... they suck on offense), and what kind of troops they have defending. Plus the morale and luck factors.

Keep building troops. The more troops you have, the more villages you can farm, and that's where most of your resources will come from, even with max upgraded resource buildings. Plus, it makes it so that you are a hard target and people will look elsewhere for resources.

That said... building my very first spearman. ^_^

I just woke up to capped out Lumber.

I'll have 20 Spearman, and a Paladin after my construction finishes. Should I farm abandoned Villages, or moron-Players?

Most noobs are under protection right now.

Aim for the bonus villages atm, but keep sending full attacks at local noobs to see if they are still protected. If not, farm the crap out of em. The more you farm them, the fewer resources they have and the slower they develop.

Also, be working up the tech tree. I'm one village HQ away from opening up the smithy, for swordsmen.

EDIT: Stables are were the farming really starts, with the light cavalry. They can haul 80 resources apiece, compared to the spearman's 25.
