Note: This was written due to a request from a friend for an upcoming birthday and figured I'd post it here as well. A simple conversation between two of her favorite characters. I'm really attempting to avoid anything but a reunion of some elementary friends...

xXx

"I'd heard you were dead," came the comment that had been almost universal from the few friends before I had a run in with a group of demonic monsters.

Still, it was better than the "Who are you again?" response from some of them.

Spend a decade in a hell dimension where even your own sister thought you plummeted to the bottom of a gorge...

"So did a lot of people," Ryan Mitchell responded to the other man as he adjusted the red and black jacket, "Dougy, I've been looking people up since I got back."

"From where?" Douglas Fargo asked as he leaned back in the seat at the cafe.

"Someplace classified," Ryan responded, "But that place was behind my current homes recent problems."

"Classified," the young doctor snarked, "That didn't work when we were nine and you used that excuse for why you recruited me to help you teach the entire class how to make TNT..."

"Did Mister Walker ever forgive us for that stunt?"

"I think he retired after that year rather than work in the third replacement for the elementary school."

"I may need to apologize for that while I'm in town."

"Unfortunately, he's gone."

"Well, there goes that idea."

"Why did you come to town anyway?" Fargo asked his school friend.

"Dad and Dana are here to help finalize some of the plans for rebuilding the Aquabase, and I could hear your boss shriek your name during the conversation over the speakerphone."

A pause for a moment, "Feels odd visiting Eureka again, at least Mariner Bay wasn't reminding me of what I'd missed."

"Places change."

"I've been thinking of visiting Silverhills, getting a glimpse at what Collins and Bio Lab are working on."

"Work related?" the scientist asked, glancing at the device on his friend wrist.

"Somewhat, mainly professional curiosity."

"Don't disappear for a decade without calling this time you leave town."

"Don't worry buddy," the titanium ranger answered, "Who else is going to be there for backup when you push buttons."

It got him a brief chuckle.

"So, has your father forgiven me for what we did the week before you vanished?"

"I'm still kind of hoping he doesn't remember that we attached rockets to his car before firing it over the lake."

"Ah," both commented, "The good ol' days..."

Both of them managed a serious moment before laughing hysterically.

I know there's a rule against this, but can you write more of this?

Wasn't really planning on it, but I might. The idea is interesting and somewhat explains where the LSR tech came from
