MTV are full of some of the biggest trend-whores in all of entertainment. I didn't even have to know who the other nominees were (and I still don't) to know that Twilight would come out as shiny as one of their own Emopires.

I've got to say... I'm just astounded. I mean, this is the same period of time that such awesome movies as Star Trek, The Dark Knight and Slumdog Millionaire. What the fuck? They took Twilight over all those other movies? Are you kidding me?

From what I remember on a similar thread over on Spacebattles, the 'judges' are all the people who voted online for their favorite movies to win. Here's hoping all the snipers ordered their ammo in bulk, because they'll be busy for a few years...

After watching the final fight scene on youtube, I'm at a loss how anyone could call the fights decent let alone the best of the year. When you compare it against other 2008 movies like Rambo, The Dark Knight, or even Indiana Jones...

Oh well, it's only MTV. That channel's nothing more than a rotting corpse that refuses to fade away. Seriously, when was the last time they showed music videos?

Easily Edward (or, as I like to call him, Eddy) and Bella. The awesome powers of their True Love ? will overcome that wussy Alu-tard. (Get it? I hinted that Alucard is partly a 'retard'. Hahaha! I'm so awesome.) Eddy's magical sparkle powers will turn Integra to such overwhelming jealousy of Bella that she'll kill herself just to ensure she never sees such beauty again. :rolleyes:


Overall, I have to agree with SleepyNin. Twilight is a romance novel. Teenage girls like romance. There are (apparently) lots of teenage girls. Hence, MTV bows down to teenage viewers and gets a bigger audience. Possibly using the controversy to build viewing numbers as well. Wasn't at all shocked to be honest.
