I've been playing around with an idea for a while now and I've finally come up with a way to make it work. It's still rough so please be gentle. And if I do go with it, I still need a good title.

ôItÆs been nearly fourteen years since IÆve been here. So much has changed, yet everything is still the same.ö The figure who sat on top of the stone head of the Yondaime said wistfully in a low feminine voice as it spoke to the wind. Cloaked in the evening shadow little could be made of the figure; save the shape indicated a female form and a pair of golden eyes that looked sadly out onto the village of Konohagakure.
ôI know you tried your best to give them a reason to change their minds; but æold manÆ Sarutobi could only do so much. TheyÆve forgotten all of your lessons; even now as they prepare for a war that will most likely tear them apart.
ôI walked right into ANBU headquarters and read up on everything that happened since we both left that day and no body even noticed; almost nothing remains of your influence. If you were here and learned what they, almost everyone in your precious village, have done; you would have torn the entire village down around their ears.
ôNow donÆt get me wrong, there are a few here that still care. Believe it or not; there is this cute little Hyuuga girl that I spent the day with that I think that you would have loved. She carried me around like you use to and showed me that there is a handful that do care. I would have liked to see the æold manÆ again, though. I wish that you hadnÆt done what I showed you in front of him; you did always brag about how good his memory was.ö
A sudden barking laugh rang out for a moment before the figure continued speaking. ôHa! I bet that Shun-baka wasnÆt too happy with what happenedànah; knowing him he just pawned his responsibilities onto his adjutant, poor girl.
ôAnyway, what little the æold manÆ knew apparently died with him; not that he ever knew that much as you know. Of course, thatÆs part of the problem now.ö
The figure sighed tiredly and shifted there position. ôI know that I never told you all the details of why I could never act fully here; even to the point that the only way your precious village would have survived way for me to tell you how to do what we did; even though it meant your death and my banishment from here for so long. Well, the good news is that I donÆt have to hide anymore; but the bad is that we lostàlost big. Everything my friend and I did; everything we went throughàlosing youàwas for nothing. We were played for suckers.
ôBut thatÆs neither here nor there. ItÆs all over and now IÆm here to pick up the pieces of what we shattered. But thatÆs part of the problem; I have no idea where to begin looking.ö
The figure fell silent for a moment in contemplation before speaking again. ôI just wish that there could have been another way. I just wish thatàyou didnÆt have to die. DonÆt you agree, Kakashi-chan?ö
After a moment of silence, another figure detached itself from the cliff; revealing itself in the moonlight o be the famous Copy Ninja, Hatake Kakashi.
ôI must admit; I am slightly confused.ö The masked Jounin said in a lazy tone that belied his readiness to strike. ôIf you accomplish all that you said; which is quite impressive in and of itself; why chose to reveal yourself now any why like this?ö
ôActually, it would be better to ask why did I reveal myself to you.ö The figureÆs cheshire smile glinted in the night. ôThatÆs because, Kakashi-chan, weÆre practically family.ö
The JouninÆs visible eye became hard as he asked casually, ôOh? And how do you figure that?ö
ôThatÆs because, Kakashi-chan, youÆre one of Kazama ArashiÆsàö
As the name that hadnÆt been spoken in Konoha since the defeat of the Kyuubi no Kitsune; the name of the Yondaime Hokage; KakashiÆs arms blurred as he grabbed two handfuls of kunai and he threw them at the figure.
Except the figure wasnÆt there.
KakashiÆs mind raced as he tried to figure out what just happened. One instant he was attacking a potentially dangerous intruder; the next he was being pressed against the cliff side, his arms firmly held above his head while his own kunai, a kunai he had thrown, was being lightly pressed against the side of his neck.
ôNow now, Kakashi-chan. DidnÆt Arashi teach you not to interrupt a lady while she was talking?ö the intruder said as she looked at her prisoner; mirth held in her golden hued eyes as a smile graced her mocha brown face.
æHow?Æ the Jounin thought furiously. æHow did she get behind me so quickly? She didnÆt use Kawarimi no Jutsu and it wasnÆt Shunshin no Jutsu, there was no way she could have been using a Bunshin. The only way she could have captured me was to have usedàÆ
ôHiraishin no Jutsu?!ö Kakashi blurted out in surprise. ôBut howàö
ôHow did do that without one of those special kunai?ö his captor smiled humorously. ôArashi never did find a way around his little crutch; no matter how many times I tried to teach him how to do it the right way. Anyway Kakashi-chan, it seems that some of your friends finally noticed that IÆm up here; so IÆll get to the point. Where is he?ö
Kakashi was silent for a moment before a sweat drop appeared. ôYou know, when looking for information from someone, itÆs always a good idea to be specific.ö
ôOh, sorry. ItÆs been a while since IÆve done this.ö His captor chuckled sheepishly before her face became hard. ôWhere is my son, Kakashi-chan? Where is Naruto?ö

Have you guessed who Naruto's mother is and what series she's from?
I'm still not sure where I want to go with this, so if anyone thinks this is worth continuing, please throw me some ideas.
Anyway, I have to run. It's midnight and I have to be up early in to morning to go to work.
