ôOooooooo. My head.ö Hikari eyes slowly fluttered open as she the throbbing sensation in her head continued to pound. She raised her hand and felt the bandages that were wrapped around her head as she tried to figure out where she was. ôWhat happened? Where am I?ö Her eyes then focused on a certain boy from earlier. Her eyes shot open in shock and, horror when she came face to face with him. ôEEP!ö
ôIt is nice that you are in good condition.ö Shinji replied as he looked at Hikari with a stern but tender expression. ôI was deeply concerned when you feel back, hit your head, and lost consciousness. Given the seriousness of the matter, I quickly rushed you over to the nurseÆs offices, and quickly cleaned your wounds, and dressed the bandages.ö
Hikari touched the bandages again. ôYouàyou did this?ö
Shinji nodded. ôFor whatever reason, the nurse was not here to attend you. Given my extreme concern, I took on the job of looking over you.ö
Hikari blinked in wonder, and even blushed a little. æWow. IÆm amazed that he did all this. HeÆs still a weirdo though.Æ She then looked over to the next bed and noticed another man lying there. From the fiery orange hair, she recognized him immediately as being Ichigo Kurosaki. ôWhat happened to him?ö
ôI am not quite sure myself.ö Shinji said as he glanced back at the man. ôAll I know is, he was punched by fellow classmate Rukia Kuchiki after she received a text message on her cell phone, and he instantly fell unconscious by it. Seeing that he needed to be moved to the nurseÆs office as well, I helped Miss Kuchiki to carry him as well. I am still trying to figure out whatÆs wrong with him though.ö
ôWow. You helpedàö HikariÆs eyes widened instantly again. ôWait, you didnÆt carry him as well as me did you?ö
ôI did.ö Shinji said as he gave a, close to warm smile as he could make. ôYou do not have to worry for I am strong enough to do the task. And even if I wasnÆt, I would still not hesitate to help others when they are needed.ö
HikariÆs mouth flew right open. æWHAT IS THIS GUY?!Æ ôWoàwoo..w..woàwow!ö
Shinji raised an eyebrow. ôHmm. That is quite intriguing. ThatÆs the same expression Miss Kuchiki gave me when I picked him up as well. She also mentioned that she wanted to talk to me later about something.ö Shinji then looked at his watch and frown. ôDamn. I hate to leave you here but I am currently needed at my current work of employment.ö He looked at Hikari with deep concern etched into his eyes. ôDo you believe that you are well enough to handle being alone for now? I could call your parents to see if they could pick you upàö
ôNo, no, no. ThatÆs okay! I can handle myself! IÆm fine see!ö Hikari quickly waved at him, stopping him in his tracks. The last thing she wanted was anyone from her family meeting Shinji. She shot up from the bed in order to make that point across. Though she got up a bit too much as the blood began rushing to her head just a bit too fast. ôOoooo.ö Hikari woozily said.
Shinji sighed. ôDonÆt worry. IÆll get Miss Inoue to come in and watch you while IÆm away. Hopefully she would be done with her duties by now.ö
Hikari raised an eyebrow. Her blood began to drain as she thought about what these ædutiesÆ were. ôUm, what do you mean by ædutiesÆ?ö
ôWhen I left Class 2-A carrying you and Mister Kurosaki, she volunteered to take over your duties as Class Representative while you were away. Right now, she should be dismissing the class as we speak.ö
ôDismissing the class?ö Hikari glanced at the clock. ôBut class ended two hours ago.ö
Shinji nodded. ôThat is correct. Yet she is still not done.ö
Streams of tears flowed down HikariÆs face.

ôWelcome Shinji!ö Ritsuko cheerfully waved at him as he entered through the front gates. ôHow has your first day of school been?ö
ôQuite interesting I should say.ö Shinji said as he stood proudly at his accomplishment. ôIt is quite clear that I have caused a bit of a commotion with just my presence. But I guess this should come to the territory of being a righteous citizen.ö
ôYeahà Anyways, ready to start testing?ö Ritsuko said as her eyes started to twinkle.
ôI am ready.ö Shinji said as he surveyed his surroundings, noting that someone wasnÆt there. ôBy the way, have you seen Captain Misato anywhere? ShouldnÆt she be here by now?ö
RitsukoÆs eyes stopped twinkling as she became just a bit more serious. ôOh her? She was arrested with a DUI on her way to work.ö
ôReally? What were the circumstances?ö
ôBeats me. Given her high tolerance to alcohol, IÆm still trying to figure out how the heck she could ever get drunk enough for anyone to notice.ö Ritsuko said as she rubbed her chin in wonder.
Shinji frowned. ôHow long will she be in confinement?ö
ôWell, since she took out eighteen bus stops, caused sixteen cars to swerve out of way, twelve of them crashing into storefronts causing half a billion of yens in damages from that alone, took out a three fire hydrant, crashed through three homes, took out all the street lamps for sixty blocks, took out thirty park benches, created a new path through the Kurosawa Park, and caused a school bus full of kids to crash into a ditchàIÆd say a few hours!ö Ritsuko smiled.
ôThat is unfortunate.ö Shinji said as he thought this unfortunate event. ôI hope she learned her lesson when she gets out.ö
ôOh I sure she will!ö Ritsuko patted ShinjiÆs back. ôBut we shouldnÆt worry about that right now. Instead we should start the testing right away! Now how about a nakàö
ôHOLD IT RIGHT THERE!ö Misato yelled as she stormed into the building. ôThere wonÆt be any ætestÆ without ME being there to supervise!ö Misato glared at Ritsuko.
RitsukoÆs eyes narrowed considerable. ôMisato, youÆre out already?!ö
ôYeah! Since it was my first time, they just let me off with a warning.ö Misato waved it off.
ôYou probably did some extra services to get out huh.ö RitsukoÆs frown deepened.
ôOh please, IÆm not you!ö Misato crossed her arms. ôNow, how was your day Shinji?ö Misato brightly smiled at him.
ôIt was interesting.ö Shinji replied. ôThough about your run in with the law. I am concernedàö

Ahh, wonderful stuff, Simmy!
Hikari's bizarre moments just killed me, since she is basically one of the few sane people in the insane world, so it's making her look silly. I'm also really loving the Bleach characters, while I would find any Hollows attacking to be somewhat off-track, I think the Bleach-type humor from its characters is wonderful.

Yup! Oh, and you don't have to worry about Hollow attacks. While I might drop references here and there, you won't see Shinji picking up a zanpakuto and begin fighting Hollows. This is, and will remain, an Evangelion story.
Oh yeah, and at Shinji's, someone mentioned that they thought Shinji saying "Damn", was out of character for him. So, I thought of this in its place.
"Holy Toledo Class Rep! I hate to leave you here but I am currently needed at my current work of employment."
Hikari's eyebrow went skyward as the Shinji she knew returned in full force. "Holy Toledo? What the (expletive deleted)..." :lol:
Oh yeah, and at Shinji's, someone mentioned that they thought Shinji saying "Damn", was out of character for him. So, I thought of this in its place.

Yeah. Though I myself knew right away since, I caught the same mistake as well when I was reviewing the chapter again here. Like I said, grammar not my strong point. :unsure: However, with a little proofreading (something I didn't do before I unleashed this chapter for all of you to see), I would have caught at least that mistake.
There are also a few other lines I will clean up before finally putting it on FFN. For example, Orihime's line about what she thought Shinji went through will be reworded a bit, both for grammar and for clarity sake. But don't worry, I am on it! ^_^

Right now, I'm just eager to get this chapter up and prove that yes, I'm still alive.
