Harry Potter Veil of Death

The Veil of Death is a doorway between worlds of unknown construction. It was used as a means of execution and seems to be one way and whispering can be heard from it.

What if it were the doorway that the Fae used to leave England to Tir na Nog, or where ever. They moved the gateway to the Dept of Mysteries, in in Minestry of Magic below London. The new location matches the exit, thus the 1st traveler appeared in stone deep under ground near where the Thames meets the sea.

The 1st traveler interpenetrated into bedrock. My best guess is that a teleportion accident with interpenetration doesn't cause a fission or fusion event because of the amount of empty space between nuclei, thus chemical energy only, in the range of 5 to 20 tons TNT energy release. So the 1st traveler forms a cavity in the bedrock that has the top collapses in. 2nd traveler interpenetrates into gravel for lesser energy yield, possible water fill. More compaction, more top collapse, with each traveler until a chimney is created and the explosions can eject above ground.

Depending on the depth underground and the watertable and the amount of the chimney that has become glassed this could be a dry hole. London water table has gone as low as 90 meters and I doubt the DoM is that far underground.

If anyone lives at the site of London they may have tunneled to this explosive cavity, or a surviving traveler may have tunneled out or apparated out and tunneled back to the gateway's exit to try and get back.

Thus Sirius Black will arrive in a dark cavity and find a tunnel to the surface into a small wizarding village in the land of Tir na Nog. Do to the low number of Veil survivors and the replacement of the Veil with the Dementor's Kiss for execution the population of Veil Top London is mixed with the native population (Half-blood Human or Half-Blood Half-Elven).

Sirius Black is likely the only traveler to arrive with his wand, but since this is the land of the Fae it shouldn't have been to hard to find wand wood or core material. At least if you are on good terms with the local Fae.

What would the Fae do with a slow trickle of Death Row Wizards? Use them as studs with local human (if any) or low-born elves, or for the powerful marry them into noble families?

How much luck will Sirius have talking them into letting him go back? Do they have another gateway that wasn't found, maybe to a faerie mound in Ireland.

I keep thinking Sirius black is teleported into the world of Minecraft, where he becomes a creeper.

No, the portal goes to another planet. It's a primitive, magical attempt at creating a Stargate. An SG team will find Sirius Black wandering about on a planet one mission and find out that he's from Earth. They'll bring him back and everything will be well, unless he gets a snake in his head or tries to romance Carter (the curse on our fav blonde scientist is worse than the one on the DADA proffs).

I can't wait until someone tries to Obliviate Daniel. Or worse yet, a Legilmens tries something on Daniel. Whoa boy! They really don't know where that brain has been.

Why would he be a creeper? He's obviously the player character.

He arrives in Konoha, and eventually becomes Team 7's jounin-sensei.

New scenario, Harry is standing closer to Sirius and tries to hold on but gets sucked in along with him.

"Padfoot, I have a feeling we're not in England anymore."

Oz done grimdark.

Double new scenario: The world behind the Veil is really a mish-mash of a few people's own created worlds, ala Secret of Evermore
