There are few HP crossovers that I've found that pass muster, but this one does that nicely. I've seen your update status and seen this fic isn't in your current plans. I beg you to reconsider.
'Browncoat, Green Eyes' by nonjon (a Firefly/HP crossover) is completed and 'Family Values' by Ishtar (a HP/Addams family) was put on hold until the author finished some 120 pages of beta for fanficauthors dot net.
I'm not saying that your other fics aren't good: far from it. But please, please, please consider this fic for update. It's that good. And I'm consider starting a bet pool for the reactions of Dumbledore, Snape and several other characters about the "We".
I realize that the fic is only a skeleton, a sketch, so that when you decide during which year it would take place. As it is, it could go from postCoS to postGof with no problem. You only have to add a couple of elements to it.
If this is pre-OotP (and I hope this is) the reactions of Umbich will probably most humorous. If she is to find out, what would she consider "We" of being? Is there anything worse than halfbreeds? Would "They" become enraged enough to spring antenas and extra eyes and limbs in class? Maybe that would be the way for Sym to develop a sense of humor? Would the twins thy to create their own Symbiotes? Would Sym help them? Etc, etc...
Please continue this fic so that I would not die of an overactive imagination. Have mercy upon me!
If you can not or would not continue it, please let me isue it as a challenge at darklordpotter.net. Though most there would discard face down your hint of HP/GW. But other then that little detail, that lot would love to get to play with a character like Harry-Venom.
