I need to know why the hell there are so many stupid fan-girl obsess yaoi fans out there.
I can't figure why they write, there spelling sucks, the plot isn't there, angst to hell, and every male becomes gay and the girls don't mind... and yet the story's get good reviews.
WHY?!?!?

Some of them are so bad, all they do is make a yaoi plot then add characters names onto it.
Then there is Mpreg... how in the....
WHY!!!???!!!???

It's not just fan-girls. A lot of fan-boys are just as bad (if not necessarily in such...disturbing ways). I used to be (not so) arguably worse than a lot of fangirls myself.

Just wanted to point that out.

As to why they get so many good reviews...well, it's simple; there's a lot of them with similar minds, who enjoy the same stories.

Unfortunately, there are fanboys, and fangirls. And, Yaoi is a fangirl's dream right now.

I've never really WRITTEN yaoi, but, you know, not alot of people appreciate it is one of MY reasons.

I like to think yaoi fangirls are very similiar to tornado's, though whereas the later will cause physical destruction the former causes psychological destruction (e.g. getting caught in a crowded room between several girls talking about Transformers yaoi porn...:huh!: ...shower scenes).

In either case the only course of action is to find a safe place to hide/wait out the destruction, unless they just happen to move to your "safe location" :help:

And remember, if you have friends close by then I'm sure they would want to help you. Though they may not like being used as human shields.

:huh: Let them. Hina fan base is more littered with Hinata-sou Tenant/Keitaro pairers than anything else. A little Yaoi thing wont hurt... unless of course, for some reason, one week, all the new stories popping up in LH Fanfiction are badly written Keitaro/Seta or some other garbage.

Whilst I have no holding offense or anger against yaoi stories, most of them are written so badly that even I wince, thinking, "Even I can't write that bad... can I?"

Ehem, please stick to the term 'yaoi fangirl' if you must refer to that particular group. Not ALL fangirls are yaoi-addicts, I can tell you that.

I personally believe one should write fics for the pure love of the fandom they're writing it for. Nobody on God's sweet earth should ever write a fic just for the sake of having yaoi or yuri in it. With next to zero knowledge of the fandom in question and even less knowledge of grammar and spelling....It's just plain wrong. It's writing fics for all the wrong reasons.

And, btw, there's no point in trying to scare them off. A few homophobes such as Wen Zel already tried that on ff.net....all they achieved was riling up the yaoi fangirls and turning them into a huge solid wall of yaoi fanatiscists. In the process, the Yu Gi Oh fandom was swamped by a massive surge of yaoi. It was tragic....the fandom was contaminated beyond repair....

No, better leave them to their own devices, and pray to God you never click on the wrong title.

Better yet, try to always pick up fics from acclaimed TFF writers - you can't go wrong with them. :sisi:

I only call them 'fangirls' when it's to be used in a form involving yaoi. I don't generally refer to anyone else as a 'fan-' anything without specifics otherwise.

I try to avoid reading yaoi (By using search-minimizers, or by generally reading by authors (Most of my favorites are actually on this site!) but, I'll occasionally find one that's not really yaoi, but has a comedic, really stupid, joke. Something like the "How to Make a Sasu/Naru".
