Which is the better Batman?

Well with the New style and Attitude of Bats in the new cartoon series Batman the Brave and the Bold, I got to reminescing about the other ways Batman has been portrayed.

From Adam West's Corny 60's classic, to the blasphemoy that was Batman and Robin (Nipple suits???!!), to the most recent and much darker movies....

each one has its own unique take on Who and What Batman is. So I figured I'd ask you guys which one you enjoyed the most.

For me? Well while Adam West has a strong running, I have to go with the Animated series as my prefered portrayl.

I'm mainly wondering why you separated TAS and JL(U). They are the same universe.

I felt that the Animated series Portrayed Batman slightly different than the Justice LEage cartoon...

and there are enough plot differences to satisfy me... Not to say teh Animated series doesn't have its own plot differences.... Numebr 1 is how Cat woman somehow went through major cosmetic surgury in the later episodes and ditched the purple costume....

I agree with Sotf. TAS and JL(U) are set in the same universe, and should be grouped together.

The differences you've mentioned are just in terms of animation....which can easily be attributed to changes in the animation team/evolving animation style/technology (not surprising when you consider that TAS started in 1992 and ended with JLU in 2006....a total of 14 years)

A truer AU Batman (which you forgot to add in your list I might add)was the re-imagined Batman from The Batman animated series.

Not that I'm voting for it or anything, but you did forget Val Kilmer's Batman in Batman Forever.

I voted for the BTAS incarnation. If more than one choice had been allowed, my second would have been the one of the Tim Burton films.

BTAS was just such a damn wonderful series, which made some really lame villains into sympathetic, awesome characters; introduced Harley Quinn; and had basically perfect portrayals of everyone.

True.... I loved how the villians were portrayed.... Especially the early Catwoman episodes (WHen she was in her proper Purple busty outfit... not that crappy flat Black outfit that was in the later seasons of the show!)

And of course Mark Hamil's Joker still rates as the true Joker for me... (Especially one who fears the IRS more than Batman himself! God I loved that episode...)

Since there's no comic book option (Dark Knight Returns Batman FTW) I choose Tim Burton's version of Batman.

I'm sorry but the only true Batman is that of All Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder.
