Ranma ½ Yet another idea... I'm too prolific lately

Anyway... How does this sound?

The Nekoken training makes Ranma so uncontrollable he actually KILLS Genma. Later on, a lone, depressed Ranma is picked up by the Phoenix people, and is raised by them... possibilities include him being purposely dunked in the Spring of Drowned Phoenix, either male or female version, and maybe locked in permanent male-Phoenix form.

This goes a bit against canon, in that the Nekoken training would have to take place during the stay in China, but 'Ranma as a Phoenix Warrior' might have potential. Just a thought...

Actually, I think I've seen a fic that has Ranma being raised, at least partially by the phoenix tribe. I don't recall it being very good though.

Yes, although now it's bugging me, as I can't remember the fic's location. >_< Stupid search engines don't give me what I want.

Regarding the fic idea itself, it's interesting. Although I have a hard time seeing Ranma wanting to actually leave the mountain, as a sort of cultured isolation would be taught to him, especially if Genma is not an influence anymore.

Yet another interesting idea outta you GH. I've got a sack of pennies so I figure I should start chucking my 2 cents.

Now stay put so I can hit you all!

Though like others have said; aside from the Neko-ken needing to take place in China instead of Japan to happen; what kind of fighter would Ranma be? Been ages since I've read the last chapter(s) But I remember the majority of them being fairly weak compared to the NWC. And though he could dish out and take energy attacks all day long Saffron was fairly physically weak compared to the guys as well.

Would they perhaps decide to take Ranma in with the intention of turning him into a guardian for Saffron? Hell, might even be a reason for him to leave for the fic. They send him out into the world for seasoning as a warrior and to grow stronger.

Add extrenous plot ingredients to your liking after that, sitr thourghly then sit back and let ferment.

That guard idea has some merit. Though if he were to be Saffrons guard wouldn't little Saffron have to come with his guard to stay safe, he wasn't that powerfull as a child?
Imagine that little devil traveling with him and one guard would be more than careless so some more phoenix people would have to come with him.

Or atleast drop by from time to time.

Can you imagine the old phoenix geezer trying to lecture Ranma about the finer parts of the phoenix history? ^^

There's always Kiima for guarding Saffron.

Of course, if the fic goes the Ranma/Kiima direction (especially possible if ranma is dunked in Spring of Drowned Phoenix Warrior), she'll likely want to come along.

Hmm now that brings even more possibilities doesn't it. ^^

Though one would have to wonder if killing his father would change Ranmas handling of women or if the Neko-ken, esspecialy such a dangeroues one, would change his outlook in that area.

Kiima can be quite a manipulative gal if needed and combined with a properly raised Ranma this can bring new levels of maihem to Nerima.
