During the 5th Holy Grail War, an unknown Magus summoned Medea into the Class of Caster, and was eventually betrayed and murdered before the game even got underway.

You are "that" magus... but you are not that magus.

You are a magus from the (an) Association, who has received the Command Seals of a Master.

The Berserker has already been summoned, and the class of Saber is "reserved."

Among the five available classes, which would you prefer?

Which Hero would you summon?

Karna.

People talk about Alexander being a bro, but it's hard to compare a man who killed his personal savior in a drunken argument with Karna, who gave up his armor, his vengeance, rulership of the subcontinent, and even the benefits of his righteous conduct in his last moments.

Also, the man's arrows rocked a chariot bearing the weight of the universe.

Caster, Tamamo-no-Mae.

What? She counts. Broken as all fuck, but counts.

Lugh. Archer. Independent Action EX.

It's sort of boring though...mega-Cuchulainn.

Cincinnatus is very Alexander-y.

Romulus unfortunately has no hero legend aside from his name lending to Rome, and being deified as Quirinus.

Jacob? He wrestled with God/An Angel/A Counter Guardian? Caster.

Caster. Morgan Le Fay would be my first choice. It would throw off Saber completely.
My Second choice would be Caster. Rasputin.
Third Choice: Rider Genghis Kahn.

That is if we're not bound by ones we've actually seen in various Fate settings.

If we are bound by actual Fate characters...

Assassin. Hassan. I don't think I've read any master actually utilize him properly. Identify the masters, murder them subtly. If done properly, I wouldn't even face anyone in direct combat, having poisoned my way to victory.

If I had no morals whatsover? Archer. Emiya. With a command seal used to force him to ignore civilian casualties and win the war at any cost.

If I wanted to win the war quickly? Caster Medea. Use Rule Breaker on Berserker to steal him or leave him totally free and with a spell that makes him think everyone is his enemy and watch the fallout.

If I wanted to troll people hardcore... Rider Gilgamesh.

If Berserker wasn't already taken... Berserker Medusa (monster form). Provided I survive the summoning, it should be an easy victory over everyone but Gil, Saber, and Caster who I believe have high levels of magic resistance. I'd just need to avoid Gil, Saber, and Caster.

Edit: So bored I'll add more "ifs"

If we're in a crossover scenario: Caster Ihadurca or Assassin Gally/Alita, Caster Kefka, Caster Bayonetta

If everything else is definitely going to go by canon unless I interfere: Assassin: Jack the Ripper

If its allowed: Avenger

If there is nothing that is forbidden: Caster Stalin.

Definitely Tamamo-no-Mae, both for the gargantuan fame bonus and for the generally cooperative demeanor.

Yeah. Fuck fighting, I'll just use all three Command Seals to order her to gain a living body (like Fate/Prototype Rider's Master did), and then head off back home to make love to my sexy foxgirl waifu. I'll phone Konomine to tell him I'm quitting once I'm at the airport.

And once again, nick overwhelmingly seizes the "psycho molester" trophy.
Its okay though. Gilgamesh would likely meet him at the airport and express his displeasure at someone not participating and ruining a chance to see his Saber in combat. If Nick even made it onto the plane, odds are the plane wouldn't make it that far off the runway.

in crossover, Caster Doctor - no matter what, i'd win. time shenanigans guarantee it. Plus he'd have to have Nine Lives as a matter of course and insane luck stats.

From existing servants - who could say no to Tamamo-no-Mae,
Saber achilles would probably be a good one too for completely different reasons.

in real life - Tesla. not to win, but to learn.

Only problem with having the Doctor as your servant... people who are only his companions for one dangerous scenario have a tendency of dying in tremendously silly and dramatic ways. And thats if you're female. If you're male, you will die. Multiple times if Rory and Jack are any indication.

Huh? Why would he do that? It's not like I'm replacing Shirou, so Saber would still be summoned.

and yet in spite of that, they both yet live. Besides, the easiest win in The Doctor scenario is skip forward in time to just before the wish is made and outfox the one remaining servant and master at their weakest and seize victory for yourself. I don't even need to be in the same timeline for most of the danger, and can use all three command seals at once to guarantee victory at the end.

Well, if ANY legendary figure is applicable, then it's not even a contest.

This one isn't so much legendary, but looking at his photos, I couldn't help but think of him as becoming a Servant if only because he has that sort of "look" to him.

To be fair, given that this is Castko we're talking about, I don't think it would be molestation....

Wasn't half the reason Fate/Extra sold so well (in Japan, anyways) was because of clingy furry waifu anyways?

The other half would be Nero. Archer would by the third half. Actually, it's like that Archer was half the reason and the other two made up fifty percent combined.

Speaking of Fate/Extra, any good download links to it?

Buy it. If you enjoy mindless level grinding it's a great game. You can even replay the game with different characters so you can go through the game with slightly different dialogue and no real changes.

Only like $20 New, and really, isn't this like the only Fate game that got released in English? Every extra copy bought adds a tiny fraction of a percentage point to the likelihood that FSN Realta Nua Vita actually gets released in NA.
