Yu-Gi-Oh

Now, I've only read a few fictions about yu-gi-oh and since I didn't notice a forum for it, it will have to do here.

I have thought to try a yugioh story, but my knowledge is VERY lacking. I've only seen my locally translated version of yugioh, so I just KNOW a lot of things are different compared to the japanese version.

So, If possible can anyone give me a few links where they explains each characters playing style, possibly with their cards, what they can do, and how they are used.

I know I'm asking a lot, but I don't want to make rookie mistakes, and I HAVE to know enough about it before I can write them.

The shadow-realm magic is very intresting, especially when they summon their card monsters.

For example, although this story is rather good (a xover) it still required certain knowledge to write. (for example, I was (and am) confused about the japanese names. And although I think I might find that one easily enough, I couldn't and still can't find a website that offers good information.

As it was said before for others. Why not try reading the source for a bit?

Onemanga and others have a fair amount up of both series.

Depending on which you care to use.

Including what is likely the first season before the card game became part of the main focus and plot. [First 7 Manga Volumes by SJ/Viz]

This part which I think in most exports cut out for the most part. Not sure. I know in the states this whole arc was pretty much ignored.

As to deck styles and such? They actually change and what not for a couple of the main characters, and not everyone has a deck either.

I would as it was suggested before. Go and read the source. And get a feel for things there before trying to write.

Keep in mind most characters will resist attempts to change their theme, for various reasons. For instance, Zane Truesdale/Ryo Marufuji inherited the Cyber Dragon playing style from a dojo (!), while Tyranno Hassleberry/Tyranno Kenzan actually has a dino bone in his body, due to an accident, which is why his eyes go reptilian when summoning a trademark card like Ultimate Tyranno, and why he plays dinosaurs.
