Anderson really wouldn't work. He would happily slaughter any non-Catholics. He states this quite plainly in the manga, haven't seen the older anime verison in a while, so not sure about in there. About the only reason he would go to Hogwarts would be to slaughter everyone there.

Neville as the Angel of Death would be brilliant, as would Luna as Integra. And as to making the two of them believe they are the two Hellsing members, whose to say Harry's magic, as it seems to be partially sentient, wouldn't try and convince their magic to do a similar job. After all, if would fit with the wishes of Harrycard, silly name, and wouldn't really hurt them. Would give Neville a massive confidence boost, that's for sure. And Luna...its Luna, who knows. Thou, if her hair was dyed I think she would be an awesome Rip van Winkle or even Shrodinger. Those two are from later in the manga.

I do like the idea of Susan as Seras, it fits way to much. I don't know if they give a hair color in the books for her, but the actress who plays her is a blonde, at least the wikipedia image of her is.

Actually, I think if anyone was going to end up as Anderson, granted, it would be a heavily modified one, but Draco could probably pull off the look. Substitute blood purity for catholicism and you have a fanatic.

I really hope someone turns the idea into a fic. Even if its just Harrycard, it would still be pretty cool. Ive seen a few were Harry was raised a Hellsing or turned by Alucard, but this would definitely be an interesting way of doing things.

I think the hillarity of it all would increase the fewer people share in Harry's delusions.

I'm not saying no one will play along with the maniac with a big-ass gun and liking for blood, but I think only Harry should live the fantasy of being Alucard.

And let's keep in mind that Harry has, by the point of Hogwarts, lived several years under the scary persona of Alucard, so it is unlikely that he feels the need to FORCE characters onto others no matter how similar they might be in appearance.

However, Luna could have come across the particular information to bind a vampire to her - or cut herself somewhere around Harry, making him compelled to consume the leaked fluids and making her his master. Or she could have been bullied enough that Harry, even with Alucard personality, felt the need to scare her aggressors by pretending she was his master.

I had actually been thinking of perhaps using Luna for Seras later on in it, partially because she's about the only one I can think of that wouldn't eventually go running away screaming whenever Harry starts going off.

Snapes first encounter with Harry would end up being rather interesting if nothing else, imagine what he'd see in Harry's head...

I'd rather not try to imagine what Snape would see in Harry's mind - I like sleeping without nightmares.

Very interesting. The only problem I have is the one where Harry fights the troll. While an awesome scene in the manga it does not work there. Harry is fighting a TROLL. Troll's are not intelligent and powerful. It would work better if he was fighting Riddle in the chamber of secrets or perhaps Quirrel at the end of the first year. Troll's are both unintelligent and lack the pure power that Valentine had.

True, though Quirrel isn't that much of a threat, even with Voldemort. The Trolls are supposed to be strong, tough, and resistant to magic. Also in the book, the troll they fought was only brought down because of dumb luck and desperation after it had probably been seriously roughed up by Quirrel in getting the thing into the school. The teachers were amazed that 3 students were capable of defeating it, and at the same time it didn't look that bad for a Defense Teacher who specialized in dealing with them to run for his life.

Yeah fair enough. However the troll was to stupid for Harry to basically go into that description. You know calling for it to transform itself. It was to moronic for it to understand him and while it was resistant to magic, that and its strength was all that it had going for it.

That is one of the best scenes in Hellsing and it felt wasted on the troll. Really as I said I think it would have worked better on Riddle Jr, the one in the chamber or even Voldemort at the graveyard. Remember that Riddle wanted to prove that Harry's power was less than his own. That brings a nice parallel though not exactly with Luke Valentine. Voldemort has done all these modifications to make himself better, stronger etc and seeing him get creamed by Harry would be awesome.

It had only taken a moment Snape realized, only an instant to realize just how badly he had fucked up.

Potter had come waltzing into his classroom like he owned the place wither the old hat and sunglasses only to take a front row seat.

As the class began he had tried in vain to crack that fanged smile for the first several minutes, only to realize that the damned boy knew the answers to all of the questions he loved to use to destroy the hopes of the youngest Gryffindors.

In a moment of annoyance he had tried to peer into the crimson eyed boys head.

And that is when the situation went straight to hell for the few seconds he saw into it.

He saw a castle on a peak surrounded by what seemed to be a forest.

The scent of freshly spilled as well as older blood mixed with even more foul stenches brushed his senses followed by the screams of the dead and dying merged with begging for mercy and vain threats.

He saw the boy clad in crimson, sitting atop a spire of the gothic fortress' tallest tower sipping casually from a wineglass that held a crimson liquid to viscous to be any wine he knew of.

Severus glanced down from his perch only to realize that the immense forest below was not made of trees as he had first believed. Each of them was a man, woman, or child impaled on a pike, trapped in unending agony at the pleasure of this insane being watching.

He tried not to vomit as his dark eyes glanced up to see the blood moon rising over distant peaks.

Snape screamed as the connection broke, much to the suprise of most of his class.

He felt bile rising in his throat and instant before he threw up into a thankfully empty cauldron and collapsed to his knees.

His mind couldn't comprehend exactly what it was that he had seen and babbled to himself while crawling to a corner.

The initial panic started to die down and he glanced up to see the little horror lower his shades to reveal eyes the color of freshly spilt blood and the demonic smile spread as he held out of of the candies that were seemingly ever present with the madman.

"Bloodpop?"

true, I'll have to modify it a bunch to make it work right, but it's still in concept phase.

And Now The Modified Version

Hermione Granger had gone from scared to fucking terrified.

The red clad boy had simply stood there, she assumed it was because he was frozen in fear, when he was hit by the massive club of the troll.

Sunken and beady eyes turned towards her once more only for the creature to pause at a loud laugh and a wave of black mist that flooded the room, giving the entire place the stench of freshly spilt blood.

An explosion, no, she corrected herself, a gunshot echoed through the bathroom and the halls as the darkness cleared to reveal the boy standing there.

The tattered school robe fell to reveal the red coat of an almost victorian design and the hat in place upon his head as the being seemed to finish reassembling himself.

"That..." she stammered, searching through all of her knowledge to try and uncover what the hell this maniac was doing only to find nothing to explain it, "That's impossible."

The troll was screaming in pain, collapsing backwards in a heap against the ruined line of sinks with a deafening shriek of pain and outrage as she noticed that the weapon had cleaved the beasts legs off at the knees.

"Stop Whining!" the crimson clad psychotic ordered in an annoyed tone, "All I did was cut off your stupid legs!"

The madman had yet to draw a wand, in fact she couldn't seem to remember him ever using one in class, though she had remembered a notation about a few wizards and witches using gloves instead of wands.

"Come on you worthless piece of garbage!" he snarled, impatience written plainly in his features, "Stand up and come at me! Don't make me waste my entire night"

The troll was panicking now, trying to scramble away from this being that now filled the room with darkness and anger.

"Pick up your club and attack me! Do something!"

The slow clap of footsteps as he walked towards the troll, interrupted her thoughts of which one of the two was the bigger monster.

"Come on, your still moving!" Harry demanded of the thing, "Hurry, hurry, hurry, HURRY!"

When it managed to get back a few steps the boy believing himself to be a No-Life-King sighed and raised his gun one more time and pulled the trigger.

The deafening bang and the feel of warm, black blood splashing across her face sent her screaming once more, the scream covering the bang of the doors opening to allow the teachers entrance to the room.

All of them froze as the boy calmly slipped his weapon back into the shadows of his coat and slip a candy from a pocket to slip into his mouth. A gloved hand holding another out to the professors.

"Bloodpop?"

And then he was gone, after getting no response. The teachers and headmaster frozen in shock at the dead troll and moving unconsciously away from the more dangerous predator.

"It's such a beautiful night," came the chime of his voice, "Don't you agree."

I think every ones missing the same :hmm: moment here?
where did harry learn to use a gun?

#37
Wow. just... wow. this is impressive. :sisi:

sith2886: I'd assume that's one of the aspects of the imprinting: Alucard is a GOOD marksman. That, and with a gun that big, you don't really need the best aim in the world.

A few suggestions for scenes/omakes:
-a staff meeting after Harry has been at hogwarts for a while. (possibly Albus introducing their newest staff member - A mental specialist from St. Mungos on loan to reduce response time whenever Harry traumatizes a professor/fellow student)
-Meeting between Harry and Luna
-Where did Harry's guns come from?
-Along the same lines, where did the gloves come from? (I know he could probably just create them, but it seems like they'd need to be actually created by some craftsman if they're going to be a magical focus)
-I seem to remember something from book 6 about Slughorn bringing an actual vampire to one of his slug club meetings? (I could be wrong, it's been a while since I read the book last) How would Harry react to it?
-expand the scene with the dementors, or perhaps show the scene where harry first met one on the train.
-I've seen mention of who should Seras' equivalent be, but what about Alexander? Any idea on how to work someone similar to him into the story?
-An AU scene where DEs invade the castle (of course, in keeping with the standard form for this kind of occurance, it would be during mealtime). One of them gets off a lucky shot and "kills" Harry. cue panic and fear, then more panic and fear when Harry regenerates and goes to town on them.
-(also AU)Some sort of plot device sends Harry to the actual hellsing-verse. humor from confusion on the part of Seras and Integra; fun fight scene between actual Alucard and Harry.
-hmmm... Voldy, after getting his a** kicked at his rebirth, summons a demon (Incognito from anime?); this would be done to provide Harry with an "actual" opponent (yeah, I know, it'd pretty much need to be Alucard himself to provide a real challenge, but Incognito seemed to be at least a slight challenge for him in the anime), rather than just showing him kicking all of the canon opponent's a**es and yawning / complaining about them not being a real challenge.
-Peter's escape would need to be explained if you want to keep the Voldy rebirth scene close to canon - perhaps give HP-verse werewolves an upgrade and show Harry and Remus fighting until sunrise while Peter slips away from Sirius?

Hmmm... basically, it seems like an awesome idea (at least how you're writing it so far), but the one problem I can see (if you want to take it from random scenes to an actual story) is that you need some way to explain why Harry doesn't just kill Voldy and other opponents in 1 shot, and why various events occur as they did in canon (see above - mainly, wormtail's escape). Also, I would think there would need to be at least one overall bad guy where Harry is actually challenged.

On the other hand, the scenes so far have been awesome. you seem to be managing to capture Alucard's persona quite well, so good job on that :mmm: - write more :D ^_^

[edit] --Oooh, after further thinking... what about Integra? Integra seems to be a big part of Alucard's behaviour/persona, at least in the anime. I'm having trouble thinking of a good way you could work her / someone taking her place into the story though, since (correct me if I'm wrong) he only decided to follow her after she seemed to earn his respect... any thoughts/ideas for this? It would add another layer to the story, I just can't seem to figure out how it'd work...

The frozen grip of fear brushed through the train compartment, though finding an absolute lack of it in the red clad figure whose crimson eyes snapped open at the touch.

A grin that many would compare to a jackal spreading across his lips to reveal with fangs, the white gloves with markings and arcane sigils almost burnt into the soft silk moved slowly, the book he had been reading slipping aside to land closed upon the bench to reveal the title as Dracula.

The door slowly slid open, the motion and scraping rousing the others in the compartment including the graying professor.

An unnatural cold washed through as a form draped in seemingly ancient and partially decayed robes was visible, moving towards them with skeletal hands brushing the leather of the seat.

Remus Lupin began to react, reaching for his wand only for a deafening bang to rock the compartment and the Dementor jerk backwards as if struck before slamming into the now scarred wood of the far side of the corridor of the express.

The scent of burnt gunpowder brought the werewolf's attention to the son of one of his friends, a boy now holding a pistol that seemed at least a size to large for a thirteen year old to use effectively.

The demon in the hall rose slowly, its eyes, hidden in the shadows of the cowl met the insane gleam of the Potter boy who let out a bone chilling laugh that echoed through the train car and beyond.

It learned in that moment what happens when one looks into the abyss, the abyss looks back...

The unholy creature fled, the sizzling sound of the special ammunition Harry preferred making its mark on the creature that wailed in pain as it vanished down the passage.

The pale face of the new teacher as he stared in shock and awe at the boy who had driven off one of the most dangerous beasts int he magical world in an instant.

"Where did you get that?" he managed to ask a moment later as his heart seemed to start beating once more.

"A junk shop in Diagon," came the reply, "Apparently a muggleborn wanted to sell off their parents possessions."

"How the hell did it harm a dementor?" he asked a moment later, becoming more and more unnerved with the diabolical grin of the boy.

"Blessed bullets," came the response with a smirk, "Made from the melted down crosses that came from a cathedral..."

A moments pause a Lupin began to try to figure out just why the hell the boy was carrying such a weapon.

"...and then blessed for some more," a pause as if searching for the right choice of word," Kick you could say."

To solve the problem of Harry not being proficient at guns, make it something that will make big boom. Hard to miss. :3

Either close range or broadside of a barn is the plan for early on while developing an actual proficiency by the end.

Luna as Schr÷dinger I could see, though it would pit her against Harrycard, which could cause problems.

Having Luna as Seras would push things a bit, since I can't really see Luna having the same acceptance problems Seras did in the manga.

Also, are we going my the original series canon, or manga/Ultimate canon? Because in the latter, Incognito never existed: the next big fight after the Valentine Brothers attack was Alucard vs The Dandy in South America.

Luna ending up with a Seras type role, not the same but similar mainly in her becoming his student of sorts.

I don't want to get to the point where he actively looks for people in the roles of the Hellsing characters, it's Harry mixed with a far more than healthy portion of Alucard's personality in his head that has been reinforced subconsciously by his will on his magic.

For continuity, stuff from all of them mixed together would probably work best with it.

::rubs his palms together::

Oooh. I like this. Hellsing is one of my favorite series; and corrupting young minds? Always... fun. Hehh. There are a few fanfics about Harry being raised by Alucard/Integra, but this is the first I seen of him BEING Alucard. Ahh, magic and mideons might actually mix, but this... this presents it in such incongruity. And that's why it's crack. ^_^

Thinking about it, if Harry knows that Alucard is Dracula, Hermione's intelligence might remind him of some versions of Mina.

I'd find it funny if some of the mugle-born actually recognized what he was dressed as. like maybe dean thomas (who is the only other muggle born i can think of right now) is shown reading the manga looking up at harry then back at the manga and cringing.

Yes, if Harry could see the show to get imprinted by it, then odds are that it was popular enough for some of the Muggle-born at Hogwarts to have seen it and dismissed it according to how myths of vampyrism were destroyed when they came to Hogwarts.

Perhaps one or two Ravenclaw Muggle-Borns decide to try playing Harry like a marionette by staging some Hellsing-like events or making certain people at Hogwarts act much like the characters they resemble from that show. How would Alucard!Harry react to figuring out such a plot?

God, and the first thing I think of is Krum in the triwizard tournament...and he would probably act like Rip Van Winkle, not to mention sound like him.

'The fourth champion is coming, and I am scared. I know not vot I fear in him, only that he reeks of blood. Vot is this fear?'

"Sorry, Harrycard. My magic-stick will punish all, Vithout distinction."

Cue Harry dashing across the maze, and taking said wand and shoving it through his heart.

Now THAT would be a show.

The merfolk "team" moved through the ancient castle with an arrogant toad like figure that seemed rather annoyed with the proceedings.

She had been asked to oversee the "retrieval" of the incentive for the competitors in the Tri-Wizard tournament. She hated dealing with the disgusting creatures that had apparently been asked to aid in the task.

A harsh and almost bubbling gasp came from one of the ones behind her as a dark fog seemed to freeze her ankles.

She spun to see a crimson clad figure with a devilish grin staring at her with eyes that seemed lit with the fires of hell.

Her eyes turned downwards, following the extended arm, clad in his trademark crimson to where this being had driven it through the chest of the merman who was struggling for breath as the cauterized damage as a few droplets of lifes precious fluid dripped from the still pristine glove.

"Pathetic," the being seemed to state as the hand retracted, allowing the body to slide to the ground in a heap, "Worthless slime."

Time seemed to freeze for her, a mere instant in time as the slight touch of light glinted off the strange fangs of the demented monster standing there, features largely hidden by the light behind him.

A scream broke out a moment before she realized it was her own while those she was escorting turned towards the new abomination as the brawl, if she could call it that, began revealing the woeful inadequacy of the half-breeds.

The form shifted to a devil dog, a hellhound with what seemed to be over a thousand eyes rimed with the essence of hades and lit with demonic flame. Razor sharp teeth, drooling an acrid slime as it ripped through the warriors of the merfolk in an eerie impression of that muggle movie she had seen once in her youth, she knew it was God-something, but had a giant wingless dragon in it.

One of the more intelligent of the fish-men chose survival over valor and fled, dashing out of sight and down the hall, the wet claps of finned feat against stone drawing her attention for a moment only to trun back to see the monster in human form once more raising a muggle firearm.

He seemed to track it by sound along the wall for a moment before firing a shot that shattered a fist sized hole through the stone wall, sending rubble and dust clouding both sides as a thud eerily similar to the sound a large fish makes when dropped onto a table.

The demons eyes surveyed the room for a moment, causing her to squeak in fright as the weapon vanished. The shock broke and she ran for a half-dozen steps before tripping over her own feet and nearly crawling the rest of the way out of the house dorms.

Harry paused as he relaxed the wards he had raised with a widened smile, his eyes turning to the younger girl he felt an odd kinship of sorts with and brushed her still sleeping cheek once and getting a sound mixed between a moan and sigh as he vanished back into the shadows as silently as he had first arrived.

xXx

Dolores Umbridge collapsed, skin almost as pale as the china she had inherited from her mother.

She curled up in the corner, bloodstains covering her pink robes with darkening splotches as her voice repeated one word endlessly.

"Monster..."

Even Severus Snape had pity for the poor fool who had just escaped an encounter with him, calmly he poured another three parts of vodka into his drink and wondering once more whether Hogwarts really was a school, or an assylem in disguise.
