So, the awesomeness has begun!

And Aang managed to purge any emoness early on, thank god.

And its sad that Zuko still gets owned by Azula's bitchiness, no matter how close to redemption he gets in his own eyes.

Huh... why is it that the evil chicks are always hot? (No lame Fire puns please)

Still.. glad to see Aang on his way... but do you think he'll find a new Fire teacher, or will he recall his brief lessons with the guy who first tried to teach him?

It's getting more and more obvious that Aang is going to be taught largely by Iroh, or by Zuko at the final request of a dying Iroh. And in the next episode, he definitely is looking for some sort of formal education where he can't easily harm anyone, at a Fire Nation bender's school. Given that the FN seems to be training their young benders early on how to be effective in combat judging by the military-style uniforms they all wear, he's going to at least get some basics from there by observation if nothing else.

Zuko clearly knows that Aang is almost definitely alive. Even if Zuko were to kill him in front of the fire lord himself, there is no way in hell that he'll be permitted to survive the discovery of that fact, and it WILL happen eventually.

I think that Zuko WILL join the gang eventually, or will at minimum step out of the way Malfoy-style to let them finish the Fire Lord off before he gets killed. Also possible is that Azula finally manages to dethrone the Fire Lord, and Zuko realizes that the only way to truly redeem himself is to help the Avatar get revenge.

Shit, it was obvious from like the 2nd episode that Zuko was just a really crappy good guy in disguise.

Don't get me wrong, I actually like the guy... But he still sucks. Always so close to his goals... Yet oh so far away.

And if Iroh teaches Aang... That would be the winningest possible method for Aang to learn. Because Iroh just kicks ass.

Remember the golden rules of Avatar:

1. If you are over the age of 15, you are an ass.
2. If you are over the age of 20, you are also insane.
3. If you are over the age of 50, not only are you crazy asshole, but you can also kick the crap out of everyone around you, if sufficiently motivated.

Well more importantly, the show made a big effort to finally make the two meet outside of a fight. And ever since the Water finale, Aang has known that Iroh is a man with greater convictions than just leading troops to victory. Basicaly, the last episode of Earth was the moment where we are shon that Iroh is nw if not Aang's friend, then certainly a capable ally. Zuko is possibly going to follow suit, though how direct his asistance will be now I'm unsure.

Also, there's a single chain hat could keep Zuko away from Aang: Mai. Now that they are an official couple, she's going to have a geater bearing (and through her, Azula) on Zuko's actions.

Zuko's a shitty good guy, but that doesn't mean that he's not a bad guy. I believe the White MTG color test text floating around here sums it up: "At your best, you are kind and honorable. At your worst, you are authoritarian and dogmatic."

As much as everyone here likes Zuko, I only like him as an antagonist. I'm tired of the conflicted bad guy becoming a good guy...I'd like the conflicted bad guy to stay a bad guy for once.

it won't happen.

Unless Mai is really good in bed... it wont happen.

Because he's already practically a good guy, anyway.

Well, she is the quiet one of the trio.

And we all know the rule about the quiet ones...

Zuko is more ninja than a lot of "ninja" characters when he wants to be.

Once he starts combining dual wielding with his bending, then you know you're screwed.

...and yes. Ty Lee would technically be more interesting. In terms of personality, and abilities, and...well being not an evil sister to you or someone else.

Yeah, the not being an evil sister thing is kinda clutch.

Its one of the first three things I look for when I scope out women.

Though frankly, the character who gets the most women in the show is far and away Sokka. He had Yue and Tsuki after him, and both Ty Lee and Toph have made comments along the lines that they like him as well.

And whats even better, is that it would totally be in character for the show to have a fight between the three (Tsuki, Toph, and Ty Lee) over who gets him. With Sokka there watching.

Thats just one of the reasons that Avar is awesome : ).

I love Azula the most. The bossy types are the most fun; all she needs is a good man to drive the fact home that she's really a good girl <3

So then, Ike we can agree that you take Tai Lee and I take Azula. Slyfer can have Mai...since no one else would want her. (Just messing with ya man)

Azula is a vindictive, brutal, insane bitch. The only way I'd ever treat her was to nuke her from orbit, and failing that, shoot her with extreme prejudice from far away with big guns.

Ty Lee .. *swoon*. So worth it.

Mai... uhm, half-half. She's ok, but... second place.

azula is the type of woman that if you are in a relationship with her you never ever make her upset (not if you wish your twigs and berries intact )

one thing to note that she is not psychopathic she is a sociopath.

it occurs to me that there is only one man capable of taming the shrew it is our jinchuriki and thats only after she joined the we got the sense beaten into us by naruto club

It's hard not to root for Zuko. But Azula giving her brother the credit for killing the Avatar, will come back to bite her.

I'm kinda interested in seeing what the back story between Zuko and Mai is, They seem rather comfortable with each other. I'm sure we will get a more information in a later episode.

oh and June was the bounty hunter.
