Finally got around to watching Avatar. Marathoned the series.

Buff Iroh is buff, awesome Toph is awesome, the Fire Lord is both a Jedi and a villain in Gotham City. Oh, and Azula (and Grey Delisle) was great but weakened considerably in the finale.

Coulda been so much better if it wasn't targeted at kids. Gods, I mourn what could've been.

Like the guy above me said. I doubt the DEM is there because of crappy planing, the last two seasons tend to contradict you, but more as to resolve the conflict in a kid friendly way.

To add my bit to this old thread; I rather prefer it that way... flawed, somewhat illogical, and open-ended. Why? Because it makes it easier and more tempting for fans to write fanfiction. And fanfiction is pretty much our best source of continuing adventures after a show is well and gone.

This is true.

Someone (I forget who) once said, that if you could take a show aimed at kids, and turn it into a dark, noir-style thriller, while still keeping it in character, then you knew you had made a mark as a fanfiction author.

That said: Has there been any confirmation on the rumors of a follow-up special/oneshot that picks up on the dangling threads (IE Zuko's mother)?

I'm not talking about the movie.
