Naruto BORUTO - Naruto the Movie

I had a silly epiphany about Boruto and Sarada. You know the standard kid argument, "My dad can beat up your dad!" Well, Boruto for a long time would have won those arguments without even trying, because duh. But then Sasuke shows up for the movie, and him being Naruto's rival comes up, so there's now suddenly a dad that can actually be used against Naruto in the eternal dad vs dad arguments.

Except Boruto doesn't like his dad. So Boruto and Sarada would get into arguments about whose dad would win in a fight, except each would be insisting the other's dad wins.

So it turns into a "Your dad can beat up my dad" argument? It sounds weird, but oddly fitting for the two.

Man, when did Kishimoto forget how create villains with powers that aren't based on magic eyeballs? I miss all those transhuman freaks he used to create like Sasori and Kakuzu, and the weirdos with different body parts that were stupidly overpowered, like Kimimaro.

They've put so much effort into extending the series far beyond its natural lifespan yet it feels like so little effort has been put into the actual content. Just more of the same crap that bloated the end of the manga.

Naruto is the reincarnation of the founder of the Senju clan and the host of the nine-tailed Kyuubi. Even if Boruto far exceeds his father in sheer skill and becomes the most talented ninja who ever lived, there is still no way he could ever match his father's inborn advantages. Not unless he happens to be the reincarnation of the Sage of Six Paths himself or he follows Obito and recreates the Juubi to become it's host or some other bullshit.

I'd peg it more on the fact that Naruto basically saved the world. You can't really top something like that, unless you do the same thing, even if you become the most talented ninja alive. I think Boruto will always be living under the shadow of his dad.

Metal Lee: Rock Lee's son. He greatly resembles him with his thick eyebrows and hot-bloodedness.

Sarada: Sasuke and Sakura's daughter. Since Sasuke was traveling, she didn't have much contact with him while growing up.

She respects Naruto and aspires to become the Hokage.

Sasuke: While supporting Naruto from the shadows, he becomes Boruto's shishou and instructs him about things like ninjutsu.

Shikadai: Shikamaru and Temari's son. His 'troublesome' personality quirk is inherited from his father.
