They have had baby booms before. Tsunade expected that to happen. So there are forty two woman pregnant at once. There have probably been times where they had over a hundred pregnant at once. This situation would be unique not through the number of pregnancies, but the fact that they all happened in the same month instead of over several months.
Oh yeah? :hmm:

almost Forty ACTIVE Kunoichi at least, of what NONE is married, a lot are virgin, and big part in ages what they weren't even contemplating this? how to deal with the sudden lack of NEEDED as hell specialists on Interrogation, Genjutsu and several other areas, apart of the loss for at least 9 or more moths of said nearly forty Nin, in a moment what they were already tight as hell with the amount of available forces? :sweat2:

That is the sodding understatement of the Millennia.

Those woman are pregnant not disabled. The first 2 or three month they could be used on active duty in emergencies. The rest of the time they can still be on active duty, just not on active combat duty.

A two idea that came to me. What if every child of Naruto sports his distinctive birthmarks, so everyone that looks will she who is the father.

Further what if the chakra of the child is slightly nonhuman. As long as the chakra is contain in the developing foetus everything is OK. But as soon as the foetus dies inside the mother the chakra will be released in the chakra system of the mother, slowly killing her in away that even Tsunade couldn't do anything about. In that case an abortion would be something akin to suicide. Tsunade could find a mentioning about that in the research files (maybe some info of the creation of some other bloodlines) and after checking the available facts inform the pregnant girls/womans of that fact before they do something stupid.

Not all of them are kunoichi, probably most of them are regular civilians, and they are probably the ones who will have an abortion/miscarriage. That's what NPCs are for.

Seriously. Scientific curiosity aside our crazy scientist does seem to genuinely want to make Konoha stronger, even if it is using her own twisted methods, and altering every available bloodline and advanced blood limit doesn't really help, since it throws out generations of refinement and devlopment of technique. Truly, this is a job for the NPC.

Not to mention, fourty women in a harem? ...pass. :p

I didn't get around to actually mentioning this earlier, but you've certainly gotten off to a good start with this idea Gmusick2k. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you do with this.

Gah, 40 women in a harem? If you don't sleep, eat, go potty, etc., you can allocate 36 minutes apiece per day. All you would get in the end is 40 extremely ticked off women at the same time.

New snippet from the rest of the prologue. Not beta'd or anything. Pretty much jacked straight out of my phone.

This was going to be hard. Simply because of who was involved. She knew without any doubt had this been the Uchiha or Hyuuga, the line to accept would reach the village walls.

Tsunade decided from the beginning she was not going to mince words. Sugarcating their situation would only be a sorry delaying tactic. The sooner these women knew of the trouble they were in, the better before they could be used for any outside purpose.

The Hokage had a plan, and if she was able to stem their fear and anger, to focus it to serve a more ideal purpose, then they would all come out better in the long run.

Manipulation?

Yes, but Tsunade was not an angel. She had taken, destroyed, and defamed lives before. And being the Hokage was nothing more than a constant game of political warfare. Her grandfather was the Shodaime, her uncle the Nidaime. You don't grow up in such a family and not pick-up any political savvy.

She played the game, knew the ropes, and used the appropriate tactics when needed. Looking back at her past Tsunade knew she was rarely dealt a good hand in life, but in her hands was a deadly combination. This one move would secure Naruto's future like nothing else could, and she would be damned if she let an opportunity like this slip up.

Finally deciding it was time, Tsunade stood up from her desk and took to the podium. Slowly she scanned the crowd of women, her mind remembering each and everyone on of them from past enocunters.

There were some such as Sakura and Shizune she had almost constant contact with. Anko and Yuugao were two of the many she ran into on occasion. Whether it be a br drowning sake or her desk giving missions. The there were the ones she rarely saw. Wives, lower level shinobi, and people of their ilk. Wasn't a concious action. Time simply didn't permit her to make spend her time trying to great every living person within the villages walls.

Just one of the many points she and her mentor differed. She didn't know how he would handle a situation like this, but he was killed for believing too much in certain people.

Tsunade was not going to leave anything to chance.

So far so good I think.

Interesting. I'm very curious about what Tsunade will tell them to sway their opinions in her favor and secure Naruto's future.

Hmm.. intriguing indeed.... I do wonder what will happen next.... and how long the line to bare Naruto's children will be. Fairly short in comparison to Hyuuga and Uchiha.... but hopefully not too bad.

Then again.. we ARE talking about low ranking shinobi, housewives and their ilk. Long as Naruto doesn't hear about it...

Shodai Hokage. Shodai. It means "founder". Sorry, just a pet peeve of mine.

Well, you have an interesting setup, but I can't wait to see what she can possibly say to sway a bunch of civilians that already despise Naruto to carry his children. Keep up the good work!

I just thought of something.

Someone mentioned that other villages would send shinobi to either capture or kill the pregnant women/ children.

What if one of them was Yugito?

What if, instead of torturing or killing her, Naoko managed to impregnate her, either directly or through a subordinate?

Another question: Will they share this info with Sand/Gaara?

That would only occur if Yugito were captured before Naoko was found out, and Naoko was sent to examine/treat the prisoner (remember, she's locked up).

Given the chance, I don't think she'd be able to resist seeing what the child of two jinchuuriki would be like, so I think she totally would, if she could.

...Not too sure how well any cage or prison would hold a Jinchuuriki though.

Shame.. it woulda been intriguing to say the least...

Though maybe Temari was involved as well? Hate to hear what Gaara would do.

Yamato can repress the Biju's chakra. Just keep him on standby for the prison, and that's solved.

If anything. Konoha is known for having the best Seal masters on all the Shinobi villages......a Seal Master of another village, would equal a run of the mill Seal user of Konoha....And if anyone remembers, the ideal way to suppress Jinchuuriki is to put extra seals over them...

Anyway, i ask for A M04R Order. :ph43r:

I like what I've seen until now.
I'm curious to see what you are planning for later chapters. But wasn't jiraiya supposed to give a few seldom reports? once a year or so?
I could be wrong though.

Keep writing :p

Well, this is pretty much the last lilttle bit from the prologue. Not betaread or anything and jacked out my phone. Which for some reason is becoming my writing block.

Tsunade was not going to leave anything to chance.

'I'm sure you all have questions and they will be answered. You are not going to like the answers to them, that is a promise, but let me finish speaking and then if you still have questions, ask.'

'At one point in the past few months each one of you has visited Naoko Akagi, or Head of Staff in Konoha hospital, for what you thought were going to be normal check-ups. Nothing of the sort was done.'

'Each one of you were impregnated with a sperm sample.'

The quiet was once again shattered but she would not be detered. Taking a deep breath Tsunade surged ahead, clapping her hands together loud enough to cause a small boom inside the room. The noise was loud enough to instantly bring the room to silence.

Eyes narrowed in annoyance, Tsaunde continued speaking. 'The entire purpose behind this was to track the evolution of bloodlines and more specifically genes. That if a catalyst.......

There was a small voice from the crowd that spoke up and asked, 'Who is the father?'

Tsunade sighed, getting more annoyed by the second, but this interruption allowed her to slice to the root of their concerns and deal with the following problems.

'Uzumaki Naruto.'

The room descended into complete silence.

'Naruto?'

'Why...................... Why him?'

æThe blonde kid?Æ

æThe monster.Æ

The younger generation seemed completely baffled. No doubt wondering as to why the loud mouthed blonde was picked to do something so devious. The older women, many of whom were there for the KyuubiÆs attack, in attendance had no such problems.

'That monster has his spawn growing inside me,' one villager screeched, almost quickly beginning to start ac chain reaction of rage and disgust.

Before she got any farther in her rant, Tsunade gave a sharp nod. Two ANBU materialized behind the woman, and one used a quick jab to the back of her neck to silence her. The move seemed to prevent anyone else from speaking, caught off guard by the sudden arrival and the aggressiveness exhibited.

'There will be no screaming, ranting or raving because your life is going to rest on this very decision you are about to make.'

'For you all not in the know, 16 years ago a Bijuu known as the Kyuubi no Kitsune attacked this village. He completely decimated he Knohoa forces and many civilian lives. The 4th had been unable to defeat the beast and it was then he was left with only one last option. To seal it inside a child. That child is our own Uzumaki Naruto.'

A chorus of gasps was heard, but Tsunade did not pause in her speech.

'Unfortunately for each of us that fact has placed us in a very precarious position. What he has caged inside him has given Naruto a unique set of talents. Since the Kyuubi has been with him since the second day of his birth, his body has rearranged itself down to the molecular level in order to house the Bijuu. Akagi's research in a nutshell was to see what kind of children would be created with a catalyst as Naruto being the father.'

'As you can imagine. People are going to want to control any type of offspring from Naruto and that is why we are here. We can not, and will not let such a thing happen regardless of your minor indifference to the subject.'

'So there are two decisions you can make here. Choose to abort the child and I will personally conduct the operation. I can promise a swift and painless abortion, one that will still enable you to bear children at a later date if you decide to have any.'

'However, you forfeit any knowledge of this event and any word spoken after the event will be counted as an act of treason, punishable by death. Make no mistake ladies. I plan on following through with such a decree personally if you go against it.Æ

Tsuandes almost predatory gaze was all the confirmation the women in attendance needed.

'Im not scaring you into compliance. Merely giving you the cold hard facts. Naruto's children will be special. With the right care and love, years from now they may lead Konoha into an era of piece like none other before it. Before you throw this off as rubbish, silly talk from a woman who knows nothing let me paint a scenario now that many of you can understand from a crystal clear viewpoint.'

'Had Naruto been any less determined to make something of himself think of the consequences. If any of you grew up the way he did. What would you have done to the ones who hated you enough to kill, with so much power in your hands?'

She let that thought sit before giving her final order.

'I'll give you an hour till I return. Do the right thing for yourselves and Konoha as well.Æ

Heard someone mention Temari and yeah she's in it. Yugito is going to take some work so you wont see her for sometime, thats even if I use her.

*shrugs* Only assured bet is Hinata to keep it. Temari... mabye (though honestly, I could see her. She _OWES_ Naruto. Hell. ALL of sand does, but not qutie at this point. When Gaara DOES become Kazekage, she'd be a nice thankyou.)

Ara, ara. Finally! But I digress. Masterfully done!

Now, if only Gmusick2k could get over that awful case of writer's block...

Question: will there be a timeskip between the prologue and chapter one, with chapter one starts with Naruto's return to Konohagakure no sato and all Hell promptly breaks loose?

Or will chapter one see the Council of Konohagakure no sato arguing over the implications of Naoko Akagi's unethical experiments?

When is that speech? Tsunade said Kyuubi attacked 16 years ago. But if that is true, then Naruto would already have been back a year ago. He left when he was 12 I think, and he was gone 2.5 years.

And since I haven't seen a note about changing ages around, was it a typo with 16?

Looks very interesting so far. I hope you can find time to write again soon.

For the flow of the story, how are you going to shift between perspectives? So far, the story has been told from Tsunade's perspective and that has worked well in showing a "top down" view of the story.

However, there are a lot of women who have been impregnated with Naruto's sperm. Even if you use only the rookie 9 females, Shizune, Tsunade (as she deals with someone else holding her child), and maybe one or two people I am forgetting, that is a lot of different perspectives. Also, it would slow down the story, and being a male, I don't know anything about pregnancy other than it is a long, involved ordeal which can be told with a lot of detail. It may be easier to focus on two or three people going through a potentially unwanted and certainly unexpected child growing in their wombs. Hopefully this will help you narrow down what you want to do, but like I said, I eagerly await more.

Sweet!!!

I think the prologue should contain some reactions, rather than just ending here.
