Well as 11th hour superpowers go in order to surpass that level of villian bullshit... That actually wasn't too bad. Breath of fresh air compared to the bullshit Priscilla has been putting out up to this point to say the least. Could have used significantly more buildup, but honestly I don't think you could have built that up virtually at all without it being immediately obvious where it was going.
The idea that you cause the 'other' to release to break through limitations and allow yourself to come back though was established before, with all the twins and sibling experiments in fact. That Claire can do it with Teresa is quite the interesting twist on that.
