Question is:

Where are they? Knowledge about allied presence nearby can be invaluable sometimes... you never know when that mean neighboor decides to attack your poor colony.

So coordinates anyone?

Edit:

I'm present in the following systems:

1.415

2.72

*Not including the homeworld.*

well, I made a colony ship, but haven't sent it any where yet, should i keep it in system or spread my colonies out?

I recommend that your first colony be in-system. It's invaluable, having a safe haven to fleetsave to for cheap.

Moshulel is one planet away so I can always fleet save to him as well, but if it's in-system I can also have the stuff it mines get to me quicker, so yeah guess I'll do it in-system.

I'm going to take over 1:57:2 in a few hours. I just got enough Crystal to FINALLY make a Colony Ship.

I've set up shop in my home system, with 3 colonies plus my homeworld in 2/78.

I am looking to colonize one of the larger planets in galaxy one however. Can anyone point me to an area with decent inactives that can be farmed.

I'm going to establish a Deuterium colony in the system next to me. While I can acquire Metal and Crystals just fine, Dueterium are another issue entirely. Even with the occasional raid or two.

Of course, that is supposing that I get a decent amount of fields. If not... :headbanger:

I have my home planet, and 2 small colonies in the same system I may junk later, they are small.

Main Blue Bastion IV: 1/ 170/ 7 Homeworld

SunBurn: 1/ 170/ 2 Support, early colony. Metal

Colony: 1/ 170/ 13 Support, early colony. Deuterium

Frigidaire: 1/ 164/ 13 Seperate, decent colony, bigger than home, good raiding.

FarReach: 3/ 164/ 7 First Step, Early raid checkpoint, Awesome raiding! :D Poor spaces.

Emerald: 3/ 163/ 4 Largest Colony, 232 spaces! Empty System, sent resources from FarReach.

Lets take over a couple systems with just our alliance members....
Any good systems? Somewhere in Galaxy 3 perhaps...

My planets are currently as follows:

Mother Planet (Filgaia) 1:364:4

First Colony (Nega Filgaia) 1:364:15

Second Colony (Glaive Le Gable) 2:295:4

Third Colony (Trapezohedron) 2:295:14

Well, I have established my new colony at 1:57:2... HOWEVER, the field size SUCKS! Only 34 fields. Oh, and I'm cool for if you guys want to set up a system made of all of our Alliance members' Colonies.

Lets do it in Galaxy 3 Systems 162 and 163. They are both pretty empty with the exception of two planets, one of which is ours anyways.

Well, I'm going to try and colonize a third planet in my second system (the fifth, right below Glave Le Gable). After that? I'm game.

Of course, if I can find a suitably empty system in Galaxy 3, I might make a colony there instead... I'll see.

From the little I looked, Galaxy 3 has more than a few empty systems. Galaxy 4 & 5 are just about uninhabited though.

I'm up to setting up shop in Galaxy 3 Teko, but I want to finish up my defenses first. The final ships I want for my fleet are currently in production, and when the fleets I have out now get back I'm going to put up heavy defenses on all of my worlds.

Sending off colony ships to 14-15 of 3:163.

Be waiting for y'all.

Belldandy Sanctuary.

183 Fields. ^_^

The farther the colony is from the sun, the more spaces they have, so colonies in the 13-15 range with 150+ fields are common.

For instance, my 15 slotter has 193 fields.

I guess this is the trade off.

Planets closer to the sun are warmer generate more electricity from solar plants and satellites,
however, they are smaller, field wise.

Planets further from the sun are colder, requiring more levels of power generating plants, which require more space.
Also, colder planets generate more Deut. I suppose this is to help run the Fusion Reactors.

Taken off Ogametips.com
Calculating Planet Size (number of fields)

? ? * pos1 to 3: 80% between 40 and 70 fields (55+/-15)
? ? * pos4 to 6: 80% between 120 and 310 fields (215+/-95)
? ? * pos7 to 9: 80% between 105 and 195 fields (150+/-45)
? ? * pos10 to 12: 80% between 75 and 125 fields (100+/-25)
? ? * pos13 to 15: 80% between 60 and 190 fields (125+/-65)

actually, can someone with colonies on slots 1-5 post how much power their solar plants produce at level 10?

i want to do a comparison, to see if solar plants really produce less power further away from the sun.

I haven't built up my solar plant that high. I've been relying on Solar Satellites to conserve space, and have left the plants at level 6.

From what I see though, the amount you get from the plant is the same though.

I got cheated on my position 14 planet, it only has 93 fields T_T

Actually for planet 14 that seems decent. the first thre and last three are the smallest planets and the largest seem to be 4 to 6 with 7 to 9 having decent space as well.

Level 12 slot 4 - 753.
Level 12 slot 5 - 753.
Level 12 slot 15 - 753.

Solar Plants have a fixed rate of power output. It's solar satellites that vary the closer they are to the sun. A satellite in position 1 will give 50 extra power, one in position 15 will barely give 20, IIRC.

It was probably a mistake, but I colonized 1:431:15 (the same system as my homeworld) yesterday, for the deuterium.
Now I wonder if I should have any mines in it.
