Ranma ½ Crossovers You'd Like To See

Here is the current list of ones I'd like to see done or done more:

Birdy the Mighty/Birdy DECODE
- One is known to exist, 'Ranma the Mighty' by DragonGolem, and its sequel.

Black Lagoon
- One is known to exist, 'Bloody Mist, Stained Heaven' by Grunt, but not progressed very far as yet.

Happy Lesson

History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi
- Three are known to exist, 'Don't lose Vs Has never lost' by Fai TJH, 'History's Strongest Disciple Ranma' by Zeneger, and 'Untitled' by Khortez. Neither of the first two are overly great.

Macross 7

Shikabane Hime

Tsukikage Ran
- If Kenshin can be done with Ranma, then this should be able to as well.

Witchblade

Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito

Zero no Tsukaima
- One is known to exist, 'Setsuna's Fault-Wonder About Zero' by Kestral, not bad.

Just had another thought.

- Ranma/Carmen Sandiego.

I mean, think about it. Both are pretty much the best at what they do. Both are in it pretty much for the challenge and excitement. I think it could work, maybe.

Oh, I think I see how this one might work out.

Ranma, Genma and Soun are asked to protect [maguffin]. Inevitably, Carmen shows up to steal it. She gets away, but Ranma somehow protects the [macguffin]. This draws the attention of the people chasing Carmen, and they offer Ranma the opportunity to work with them.

From there, it depends on the author.

Well, I could see Carmen taking an interest. If Ranma was a bit older. She sees the mess the boy is in, all the girls after him. And then the world's greatest thief decides to steal his heart.

I've thought of this one before.

The way *I'd* do it, is Carmen makes a bad roll of the dice and ends up getting beaten half to death and is saved by Ryouga, who gathers her up and "takes her to the hospital".

Yeah, you see where this is going. Zak, Ivy, and Ranma, teleporting all over God's Earth, all three trying to answer just one simple question...

Alternatively. Perhaps putting this early in her career could make for a more interesting story. And now that both are older, he viewed her as a friendly challenge, she viewed him as someone to beat at all costs, and was the motivating force to make her as accomplished as she is in the current time.

I'm picturing a relationship along the lines like Ranma and Minako Aino had in 'Hell Hath No Fury' by Bob Lobster.

I too would like to read this.

Not going to write it though - too many existing projects and no idea where to take this one.

Heh... I'm both amused and bemused. That is the second story idea of mine you've stated something like that to (well, at least publicly that I'm aware of).

Oh well... maybe someone will like it enough to do something with it.

Well I've kinda already mentioned it in anther post but I suppose I should have put it in here first.

Super Sentai/Power Rangers
WHY: Well I've really no idea what I'm thinking personally, I've seen enough of both shows to conclude that it would be best to take just the CONCEPT of them and make an entirely different backstory for it too work but I can't help but see Ranma as the Red or Green ranger (don't know what you'd call em singularly for the super sentai).

Plus if ya throw in a little Sailor Moon it gets a whole lot more interesting - somehow.

Series: Mahou Sensei Negima
Why: Because I love Mahou Sensei Negima as a series, I love Ranma 1/2, and I'd like to see more series that cross the two over. Basides which, the Negimaverse canonically has both magic and ki, as well as the ability to use ki to do some pretty crazy things, so I think the two series mesh fairly decently. Specifically, I'd like to see some that don't involve Ranma getting de-aged, getting amnesia, and/or occuring early on (No offense, Ryoga!), since I'd like to see Ranma and his current set of skills present...like, say, going to Magic Country, whether on purpose or by accident, and carving out a name for himself, only to run into Negi and crew in the most recent arc...possibly as a bounty hunter or something? Alternatively, him as a teacher at Mahora could be pretty interesting...just have Ranma a few years down the road. After all, Ranma's not stupid, though his interpersonal skills aren't the best...given the right circumstances, I could see him working on the staff. Or maybe getting hired as a bodyguard for a student? Ah, well. Yeah, though there's some good crossovers involving the two series, I'd just like to see more. sisi.gif

Ranma (after the end of the manga) goes to Mahora after seeing some spectacular magical fights online (Mahora Festival Arc) in search of a magical cure for his curse.

I don't know where this idea came from... but how about a Ranma/Detroit Metal City crossover?

Ranma has a secret no one knows about. He's the lead singer of a metal band where he can really unwind and tries to keep it a secret.

The idea might have a lot of potential, don't you think?

I say "generally" because I have not read them all and there could be one that isn't.

Plus they tend to be written by kids who think the likes of Fallout Bitch constitutes awesome music.

How about a crossover with Fairy Tail? I just got done reading it on OneMange.com and I gotta tell you guys Ranma and crew would fit RIGHT in there, on a side not they would also get character development!

Oh something just came to me: The way Ranma fights and his techniques... Dragon Slayer anyone? I'd say wind, not just because oh the saotome school but because "chi" was thought of as "dragon breath" right? And the whole breathing exersizes are supposed to go with that right?

So "Ki" or "Chi" is in essence that fabled "wind" magic, and really how awesome would if be to see Ranma really getting to fly in his fighting?

SO Ranma would be a Wind Dragon Slayer

Ryoga just screams Rock/Earth Dragon Slayer

Hell the rest of the Ranma cast can all pull stuff similar to mages also! But they aren't so it confuses people.

As for an actual idea as to how it will go... I'm to tired to think of one there's not really much of anything that needs to be done to Fairy Tail its already awesome as is.

Just for the lulz...

Ranma 1/2 meets G Gundam. Because if Ranma would have to pilot a mecha, he'd want one with the Mobile Trace System. Plus, I have to see what would happen if Ranma ever fought with Master Asia (whether alongside or against him).

You'd likely need a time travel ploy to get Ranma into the proper time period though...
