Well I'm taking a vacation off to North Carolina and will be gone for the next three weeks, I'll probably be able to get on sporadically but don't count on it, figured I should at least give everyone a heads up.

Oh, and Random, I'll have to finish betaing that fic when I get back because I won't have access to my PC where it's stored so you can either go with what you've got or wait for me to get back.

Cue the Love Theme from "Deliverance"...á
Hehe, I was wondering if anyone would catch the reference there, when I was typing the original post I had that running through my head, but just so everyone knows I was not in any way shape or form bum-raped by hill billies while out there. And so on that note,

I'm back!!!!!!.

Ahh it's good to be home, and I won't be going anywhere else for the next six months at least so no more disappearances for me, heh, there's no place like home eh.

Ugh, I just had surgery this morning and I'm back right now but in extrememe pain, or I would be anyway if I weren't doped up on Oxycodone right now (for reference that's the stuff they use in Percoset, which is about twice as strong as Vicodin) so if my posts for the next few days are slightly less...coherent, please understand that I'm not exactly at my best right now and I feel glad that I can still put together a sentence at all right now, much less one that's readable. So I probably won't be on much for the next few days as I'm pretty much bed bound right now, so I hope the bleeding will stop soon so I can at least start moving around eh. :(

Oh well... hope you get better soon.

Mind if I ask for what you had surgery?

Thanks, for the sentiments, I just had all four of my wisdom teeth out at once, my cheeks are swollen like they have golf balls stuffed in them today. I have to keep cotton strips in my mouth at all times to soak up the blood coming out and I have to keep a hot pad on the outside to keep the swelling down...ooh I ache, at least they're keeping me on a steady supply of pain killers.

If i would see i would feel very bad. I tend to do that i feel worse if i see someone in pain then i do when i'm the one with the injury/surgery. I got my leg pierced up to the bone once, my shoes were full of blood and i had no problem yet when i saw a friend with a cut i didn't knew where to run.

Anyway get better soon. :p

Are you and your dentist nuts?!? 4 wisdom teeth extracted simultaneously? My cousin needed to have 4 removed as well, but his dentist advised him to remove 1 at a time, since the "system shock" from taking out all 4 at the same time could very well kill someone.

Are you sure your dentist is not some quack? <_< Does he show a penchant for causing pain with all types of power tools, and seem to enjoy closeups of helpless victims with their mouths agape in abject horror and he looms overhead menacingly? :ph43r:

Good thing for me the dentist said that due to the unique alignment of my teeth(whatever that meant), I would not need to have my wisdom teeth extracted, since they would not cause me any trouble. Though I sure wish I had my last baby tooth extracted sooner, now the adult tooth growing in its place is kinda crooked. :(

Ah yes, and where were we again? :sisi:

Heh, not sure where you live but over here in the states that's the way it's most commonly done, I personally think it's only because the insurance companies are cheap and don't want to pay for four times the pain medication, and besides I'd rather get it all done at once then do them slowly one at a time, it's like taking off a bandaid, if you do it fast it hurts a lot for a short amount of time before it's gone, while on the other hand, if you do it slowly...

Well, my cousin did have a fairly weak constitution, so in hindsight, maybe the suggestion was made with that limitation in mind.

Still...4 wisdom teeth extracted simultaneously...ouch...

I guess that makes me lucky. I never HAD wisdom teeth, they were never there...

Buddy of mine was laid out for a couple days after his were pulled, and I dreaded when my turn would come up. :blue: :huh!:  :help:

Imagine my relief when the dentist does an X-ray (covering me with a measely lead blanket while he bolts into the lead-lined bomb shelter down the hall) and shows me that they're not there... B) :mmm:

Heh, yup, you are lucky, though I always did love how they'd put that wimpy little lead bib over you and then bolt out of the room as if they were expecting the x-ray machine to explode or something, seriously, what's up with that?

Exposure to radiation.

While you get only one exposure they have to work in that enviroment all day and countless exposures to radiation don't do any good.

Makes you wonder why they don't just pack all the patients into the same room, and zap the entire room with X-rays.... Though distinguishing among the results will be very confusing... -_-

I can see it now:

"Doctor is it normal for this to be there?"

Nurse: "Oh my!"
