Huh, say what now? They're going to make me a millionaire for making mutants?!? All right, if I had know that sooner I would have started making them a long time ago, I thought the whole 'crime against humanity' thing would put some people off, but I guess not.

Not going to comment on the medical sistem there since i have no idea about it but here we have a excellent medical system... as long as you aren't sick because it switches a lot:

One day (you paid him in advance) a doctor performs a surgery thought to be close to impossible.

The next day he forgets a tool in you (you didn't placed somethin in his pocket) at a routine opperation. :sweat:

I think our medical system is great. Now yes, we do have only 40 million uninsured (problem), and our ERs are closing because of that (since ERs have to take everyone regardless of insurance). However, we typically do have the best equipment and surgeons in the world for the most part. But of course, horror stories like someone forgetting a tool in someone, or amputating the wrong leg DOES pop up. :no: Of course, what do we do about it? Sue their ass! :mmm:

Dunno about your amputation case but the one that sticks to my mind is the famous case of Doctor Ciomu who managed somehow to transform an apendicites into a sex changing operation...

We have good doctors and lately better and better machines but the coruption and emergency sistem leave a lot to desire.

Hyne, you've got to be kidding me, those doctors who made those mistakes must have been sued for all they were worth, oh and it's an appendisectomy, the disease is appendicitis.

He would have gotten away scott free if it weeren't for the media, even so i consider the punishment too light.

Why is it that a cop that kills for the good of the community can get into jail if he has bad luck but a doctor that kills on the operating table just get's his permit suspended or if he has connections a few years out of the hospital? Not talking only about my country here...

Hmm. Well here, if it is really bad, you do go to jail if that happened. If not, the media would hound them to hell. If it isn't THAT bad... but still bad (like the person lived. But they left a tool in them. <_<) then they might have their license taken away. Though the latter, it is not true in all cases, much like what you're thinking. Since that isn't true in all cases, its where you have people demanding justice and so forth.

Just let me say what happened to the guy that amputated... i shall not say the name but nuff to say it's a guy's worst nightmare, NOTHING, he only got his license revoked, no compensation, no jail time... NOTHING

Heh. At least in the US, we have lawyers to deal with the compenstation aspect of it. Of course, I do have my beef with lawyers though (mainly, they have no soul. I mean, suing McDonalds for making people fat? <_< The only reason why they take up these case, because when they find a jury stupid enough to believe them... $$$). But at least we have ways of dealing with these problems.

One of the greatest reasons for which they are hated here is the problem of international adoption, many of them got rich by selling childs. Things got better in the last 13 years but the threee years after the revolution...

Yikes, things must be mighty different where you live, here int he States they get rich off of being ambulance chasers and from protecting murders (O.J. Simpson) and child molesters (Michael Jackson).

Oh well... at least we don't have lawyers that defend child molestors (those guys get what they deserve!) but they also forget (conveniantly) to present a proper case when the other side provides "arguments" for them.

Granted the situation is getting better but i guess that we will still need around 10-15 years to fully get rid of the communist stench.
