Dragon Ball Kai

I'm not sure how many people know this, so I decided to start a thread about it.

Dragon Ball Kai, the re-airing of DBZ, has just began to air. For those who doesn't know, the Kai isn't just for show. It's been remastered, and to a suprise to some, is what is called the Akira Toriyama Original Cut.

Meaning that it's been edited to stick more to the original manga while discarding some of the filler stories.

Considering that, there is a slim chance that GT might be axed as the MMORPG DBOnline is considered as an official sequal to many fans due to the series creator's, Akira Toriyama, involvement.

Yeah. Just expect better quality video. I've only seen the first episode, but i don't think anything will be changed

Not that good. They remastered it, but there's no point if a 480p is upconverted to 720p and still looks blurry and pixely.

Anything upscaled from 480 to 720 is shit. No exceptions. They should've just spent the extra buck and reanimated the entire Dragon Ball series.

I already own the whole series on DVD, although some of those are bootleg Korean DVD's, so I don't need this.

I liked the series as it originally was. Remakes can go fuck a goat up the ass.

Basically, just another damn way for the company to make even more money with minimal effort.

I watched the first episode, I don't remember the the original first episode but it seems exactly the same to me. Maybe we should chronicle the differences?

The only way it could be true to Toriyama's vision is if everything after the namek arc was cut. Or so I've heard.
