'DECRYPT!'
Also, I some how don't think that Stanley's going to be all that welcome back at the fort. Seriously, he left them in the lurch.

-After- threatening to "kill" them all via disbanding and taking all of their best troops.

I do have to wonder what would happen if Parson pointed out how you normally used pliers.

As to Parson and gang being displeased with Stanley: I fail to see what, if anything they can do to him. Yes, he left them in the lurch, and yes, they might dislike/hate/despise him for that, but I don't think it matters. As I recall from an earlier comic, all troops on a side are under a loyalty stat, which prevents them from betraying their alliance under all but the most extreme of circumstances. I don't think they'll be capable of acting against Stanley, once he returns.

A good example of this probably comes from Sizemore. He says he hates Parson for what Parson asked him to do during the course of the siege. Fair enough, but don't forget that Sizemore Did it anyways. He may have hated it, but that loyalty stat seems to have prevented him from doing anything but follow the orders he was given. I hold that the same principle will apply to Parson, Maggie and Wanda.

Of course, it's up to them on how to interpret their orders. Also, if it's a complete victory, I can see the Tool seeing this as a sign from the Titans on what happens when he lets his underlings work on their own. Utter and complete victory.

Yes! YES! YES!

:evil2: :evil2: :evil2:

Go Wanda! Go!

Oh, I can't wait to see the next story arc after this. It's gonna be deliciously evil.

. . . I'm actually starting to like Ansom. I mean sure, I thought he was a great antagonist, but I wasn't sorry to see him go. . .

. . . Now I'm starting to root for him.

Oh, oh crap.
I feel for Parson.

Going from the almost certain doom to the prospect of total victory, and not being sure thats a GOOD thing.

Seems that Erfworld will be moving in the near future.

http://www.erfworld.com/

I'm kinda disappointed since this means I'll have to check another website, but I don't mind too much.

Now if I could just find a system to simulate this world, I'd really like to take a swing at this Overlord business...

Fancy-schmancy technology. In my day, we had to go check each webcomic manually. [/crochety]

Well, that's pretty broken. Unlimited 'De-crypt'.
Well, not like the ability to command dwagons was balanced either, but it makes you wonder, just what the other Arkentools do, when you're attuned to them.

Anyone else notice that they accidentally replaced the OOTS link with the updated Erfworld one?

In fact, the Arkendish boosts thinkamancy so much, that Charlie was able to hack his way into the books made with thinkamancy that the forces of Gowbin Knob used for internal communications.

If we consider that everybody uses thinkamancy for comm, the Arkendish is potentially just as useful from a strategic perspective (unlimited intelligence vs unlimited supercroaking).

And that's supposing that Archons aren't special units somehow connected with the artifact, which might well be the case.

Also, pity about Bogroll. Guess that we cannot have Parson getting too comfortable with the 'ruthlessness' that allowed him to win the battle.

We don't know how broken the Arkenpliers are yet. Obviously, there are limits on how effective they are, since Bogroll can't be revived. It's probably on par with the D&D Raise Dead spell. Furthermore, we don't know if it works on everything. The real test of brokenness will be when we find out iif you can decrypt an undead or a killed decrypted unit.

Random question: How does sex work in Erfworld?

I know that sex is unnecessary, but there is evidence that it is still practiced (Wanda distracting Stanley while Parson executed his first plan). My question is, given the built in censoring, what happens when they do the deed?

Well... Wanda did give Stanley directions to Faq. She assumed that he was a complete idiot and she would get the hammer.

Also, this isn't good. Parson has FATE written all over him like Wanda has.

Fixed.

Still, knowing that she caused the downfall of Faq probably served to cause some mental imbalance. I think that might be why Wanda is the way she is.

Fate?
I'd call Parson the gamble.
He was brought in from outside of Erfworld. That alone should make Fate knot itself up around him. He's the gamebreaker, here. Literaly. The further down the line we go, the bigger and nastier the knot of Fate is going to be.

Just my two bits.

PS: I disaprove of fate.
