On one hand, I like the idea... but on the other, how would that even work? I mean, how would you get the middle twist of the blade to work with standard lightsaber emitters?

Would you simply take a saber, and build something like a twisted pole, with small, Christmas light-string emitters running the length of the blades? Or would you simply use the Force?

Shit, now I'm really curious...

I was just thinking of a staff with forked parallel lightsabers on one end. Though in theory, something like Darth Maul's would work well too: double sabers on one end, and a single one on the other end of the staff. Totally impractical of course, like many things in both SW and NGE.

Given that Rey primarily used her staff as a weapon, and hasn't used a saberstaff yet, I don't see why she needs the Lance to look like a lightsaber when they can just give her a junky-looking lance to complete the look in that pic.

Amusingly enough, Asuka would fit the role of Poe here as the ace, while Shinji would definitely fit the role of Finn.  Too bad, though, 'cause I don't like the Shinji/Rei pairing in NGE.
