Here is a generalized search request... This is a bit involved though.

I was just now reading 'Chains that Bind' by SpikeyKun on FanFiction.NET. I got the idea while thinking that Nerv does a ton of crappy things to the children, and yet I never see anything other than mere verbal protests from the pilots over it.

What if Asuka or Shinji actually truely refused to do something that they insist on when they go too far... Outside the Eva's. An example might be in this story, if Asuka instead had taken Rei down to a machine shop and got the cuffs off... or picked them. Alternatively, had simply decided to refuse to move or speak or do any orders until her demands met. Or in a different story if they refused to live with her due to crappy guardianship (food, driving, drunkedness, naked Sync training (which is worthless), etc...)

Any stories like that, as except outisde ones that either have 'shinji with a spine', or ones with him in the Evangelion, I cannot think of any at the moment except 'Sic Semper Morituri'.

I just got a wierd image of Shinji and Asuka filing criminal charges against Nerv for violations of human treatment of human beings, and notices being given to Gendo, Ritsuko, Misato, etc...

Does anyone know this Rei/Shinji fic So happy together by Kimberly was ever finished.

I remember reading it before FFN took a stand against its NC-17/R/M rated content years ago (for the good that did), it was relocated to MM.org, the current link, and I remember finding a personal site by the author, but I can't find it again.

I basically want to know, if anyone knows, without having to contact the author, if this story even got finished/continued.

It did not get completed by Kimberly Brown, and was abandoned... Even on her old long abandoned home page it only made it to chapter 36.

There was some big blow up about that story on at least one of the Eva specific boards, I was told supposedly partially about it not being really about Eva, and too OOC, and such. And as part of the fallout work was stopped on it. While I was reading fanfiction that far back (and in fact also remember the great FF.NET purge, as some refer to it as), I was not on the Eva specific boards at the time, so cannot tell the details.

I read my copy back in 2004, and even then the home page was barely accessible and fairly well hidden. I had it as a Internet Archive Link for a while, but even they all stopped working. Then I linked to an old copy of Darkscribes, but that only had 31 or 32 chapters of the 36 (I think it was a old 2001 restored copy).

An abridged version of the story used to be on EFO, but that got lost when LD bought the site. IIRC, it wasn't SHT that caused the fuss, or at least that startet it, it was something called 'Obsession'.

Obsession actually had some strong ideas backing it. It wasn't without its flaws, but the core concepts had some serious potential.

SHT was... well, it's questionable that it was truly Evangelion fiction after a certain point, but I suppose if you're a fan of a certain flavor of fiction, I can see how it could hold your attention.

Personally, I lost a lot of interest after about chapter 10. Whether 1-9 were any good, I no longer remember (that was what, 8 years ago now?) but I recall enjoying them when I read them.

The author was a pretty good friend of mine (well, as good as online friends can get I suppose) until a pretty severe misunderstanding when I requested permission to write my own version of Obsession. Some... unpleasant words were sent my way, and we haven't spoken since.

In the end, I still miss talking to her. She was aweful nice (to me anyway, I can't vouch for, oh, say, Tommy), and we had some pretty interesting conversations and story ideas (the first few chapters of the original version of Touch were run past her before posting).

I hope she's happy with whatever she's doing now.

Ah, no. It wasn't a one shot. It was a chaptered fic, written by a fairly popular author back near the beginning of the decade. I've been searching all evening...still no luck.

Um yeah, kind of looking for a fic that I think was deleted from Fanfiction.net like five years ago, the fic poped back into my head a minute ago and I was wondering if anyone as a copy of the fic. Basicly Shinji runs away and somehow ends up outside the Masaki shrine and ends up meeting Tenchi's daughter, the one that got cloned. She's like five years older then him but as the story goes they fall in love and timeskip get married when Shinji's out of highschool. Asuka isn't a bitch, and Rei gets her ass blown up, there is some DBZ charaters thrown in there as well, but mostly just Trunks and Vegeta I think.

Sounds an aweful lot like an Angel17 fic. Lemon, correct?

Try Darkscribes.org under Angel17. I can't really be 100% that it's hers, but she was big on the EVA/Tenchi crosses.

You are thinking of the alternate arc 3 plot thread.

The author I think could not quit decide which direction to go in arc three when dealing with finding unit 1. In the one plot thread, he was found dead, in another, he was found sort of alive but dying. Both plot splits in arc 3 lead to the same arc 4 and beyond though.

Can anyone recommend some fanfics where an EVA winds up hundreds of years in the future (and in space), or a crossover with ANYTHING WITH SPACE SHOOTY SHIPS BEING RIPPED APART BY EVAS HURR DURR.

To give you an idea of what kind of epic whathefuckery I'm looking for: I've been reading The Open Door, Shinji and Warhammer 40k, some small, unfinished stuff like "Forgotten Warriors" (a Babylon 5 cross, ffnet). There was also some kind of w40k cross where Kaworu was the God Emperor of Mankind, but the title eludes me - and it wasn't that great, anyway.

FFnet search drives me nuts, due to my tendency to skip anything that wasn't updated since (or completed around) 2005, and I have to keep reminding myself that yes, NGE canon hasn't advanced since then, so these stories might be actually ok.

Grimaces... what a hard to pull off concept... The evangelions are pretty specific use items... taken out of their environment, I just don't see them doing well.

I am aware of a number of ones where the pilots are put into a future, but most don't have the evangelions in that state.

Steve Vader had Unit 1 and Shinji transported to Lodoss but since it is part lemon, not giving a link.

Driver Jim Ohki had them in the Star wars and later Ranma/Tenchi universes, but they were not really used beyond construction.

There is also a horrible cross of NGE and TTGL on FF.NET... took one look, and once realized the cross... put it out of my mind since nothing good can come of TTGL. it was only about a month and a half ago I saw it though.
