I recall an ancient fanfic that was released on the FFML, but I recall not the name nor the author.

Merely, the idea behind it... which was the NGE Children being Superhumans ala Superman (Shinji), Flash? (Asuka), Wonderwoman (Rei), it was fairly well written.

I would appreciate it if someone could help me find it or provide names. :D

Ehhh... you should have used the FFML Search engine site.

In any case, it might have been "The Gods Within" by Scriviner. aka "The Cranky EvaFic"

Took some 3 minutes.

punching that into google yieled a picture and 3 chapters archived at:

No clue if more exists.

But is that the correct fic? If it is, anyone could have found it.

I've never read it, I did not have author or name... only the info you provided.

Looking for a fic with a gender bent kaworu falling in love with shinji. All i can remeber from the fic is that she was spying on him at one point in the beginning.

Hmmm... maybe the original version of 'Sins' by Sideris. Was at 23 chapters, then a rewrite was attempted, then it was deleted by author (along with most his other stories).

Ehhh... of course their are more Shinji Kaworu pairing stories, and there are gender bent Shinji stories (both with him born as a girl, him in a Rei clone, and him swapped with a girl).

Heck, there is even a couple swapped Shinji/Yui stories, with her in his body and him in Unit 1.

If it exists... I would not have likely read it. I'm not a fan of such pairings.

I'm currently looking for a fic where Rei and Shinji switch places, with Ikari Rei being the relatively normal 3rd child and Ayanami Shinji being the 1st child. Does that ring a bell for anyone?

Sounds vaguely like an idea I had some years ago.

Though that did include a smart-mouthed Rei.

I have something of a request.

Does anyone know any well-written Bad-End stories for NGE?
I am talking about things like (as I've heard) existed for the earlier Wing Commander games where even if you lose a mission it goes on but things start to go bad with the eventual defeat.

My main thought on NGE in this regard is:

Shinji often "ran away" from everything.
Often times, stories have him either threatening to go away from NERV or even have him go away only to come crawling back.

What if he actually went away and stayed away?
Going with canon it would most likely spell defeat for Nerv, though not instantly,
They could fly in Asuka earlier,get EVA04 from America and another pilot, press 03 into service etc.
Are there any fics that have Nerv as the losing side (fics where they actually lose in the end) that are nonetheless well written, suspenseful and fun to read (aside from the potentialy sad and desperate premis)?

Any? There are tons... With variations. Sometimes dead, sometimes leave, sometimes left in the Eva...

'AOI' by Random1377 immeidately comes to mind, as does 'Tear' by Legato Deathscythe.

I believe a chapter of 'Nightshift' by CFX that fit... but that is a lemon story.

Any? There are tons... With variations. Sometimes dead, sometimes leave, sometimes left in the Eva...

The few I have found are usually everything but well-written.

I'll try to look up the ones you mentioned.
If there really are "tons" of them (and frankly some to many would suffice for me), I'd take full blame for sucking at using searches.

Most of Adam Kadmon's stories with the Drama label have a BAD END. Look at his MediaMiner account too, there are a couple of lemons there.

There are too many, by quite a number of different authors, either with Shinji being female, or Asuka/Shinji switching places, etc... one with Yui in Shinji's body. Male Si or Shinji in a Rei body, Toji in a Rei clone, female Kawrou...

Can you be more specific?

Born of the other gender fics, Are my priority. (So go with that)
