I'm not sure how the neko-ken is going to affect Ranma in this one.

I mean, sure, there is documented evidence of bears being scared of cats, so Ranma could act like that.

But then again, there is the fact that he's a bear, with all that entails. I'm sure that there's only a few bears crippled with self-confidence compared to the rest of their populations.

Also, Ranma's bear smell might keep local cats away.

I am reminded of a fic where Shampoo in cat form learned Dog Fu... So she was human transformed into a cat thinking she was a dog...

Cologne was attempting to wear her down in cat form by throwing a bone or stick around in a park and she would go chasing it down.

That was in 'Changes' by gromittd.

They do not make humor like that anymore. Lots of humor in that one, Neolithic Martial Arts, Akane having 32 husbands... BunBun as a hero.... Ranma as a CPA... Genma and panda friend going on a road trip in a car... etc...

Pity it was never continued.

Oh yes! A favourite of mine too. With moments like:

"You said I don't mallet you three times."

"Well, you know Happosai, why would he teach a technique for putting panties back on?"

"Do you know what sort of dog she is?"

"Somewhere in this hole something is living. I want it gone. You are going in after it."

And that's just chapter one. And of course chapter two features:

"So" Ranma said nervously "welcome to The Saotome School of Anything Goes Golf!"

Postscript: the lollipop story was indeed <a href='http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3096233/1/festival' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>festival</a> by genhoss. Though not in Changes league, I found it entertaining with its own rewards.

Post-postscript: The idea of Nabiki with a pet cat which terrifies Ranma as man or bear into the Neko-ken who goes looking for comfort from cat-petting Nabiki whose terrified of bears. :snigger:
