I would as well, but yeah "before she was supposed to." There is a reason she's called the Once and Future King, in the legends of King Arthur it's always stated that Arthur sleeps in Avalon (the place, not the sheathe) until the time of Britain's greatest need wherein she would appear again to save and lead the people once more.
It's always sounded a little implausible to me that with everything else that goes on in the Nasuverse that King Arthur suddenly reappearing (even in secret) within the UK has no consequences whatsoever. It seems far more likely to me that it would in fact set off a sequence of events leading to the previously mentioned time of greatest need.

Well, within the Nasuverse, the DAA as an organization are planning some kind of Doomsday Ritual in Alsbury; that's expected to come to fruition in like a decade or two.
Time of great need, right?
And if Shirou gets into the Enforcer/Burial Agency scene, then he'd probably find out what's commonly known about it.

So what you're saying is that it is something that perhaps Kinoko Nasu has taken into account for a future story but at the same time is yet another one of his projects stuck in development hell? I could deal with that. If something like that ever got made it would be incredibly badass.

The fic he's reffering to is <a href='http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3653914/1/EMIYA' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>EMIYA</a> by Mereo Flere, and only <a href='http://z14.invisionfree.com/The_Fanfiction_Forum/index.php?showtopic=12167' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>chapter six</a> was uploaded to the forum.
it was the EMIYA series by Mereo Flare, but upon a resent search... unless i did something wrong (a very good possibility of it) there is only chapter 6 left.

Trying to find a fic that was a cross with Card Captor Sakura. Essentially Sakura was staying with a relative in fuyuki when the 5th war started and walked in on Kotomine stealing Lancer. She helps but Lancer kills him in front of her, he then makes a deal to become her servant if she agrees to help Bazette. In the end the other masters are paranoid about a magi with magic that is on the level of miracles fighting in the war.
