Nasuverse Fate/Stay Updates

Bladed Horizon, the FSN/Log Horizon crossover, just updated to Chapter 16.

That is the one with Shirou in a sort of relationship with Serafall, having his own peerage, and acting as a big brother to Sona.... pretty good, though I've not read the newest chapter, and it has been a couple years plus since the last one.

EDIT:

I read the chapter... not quite what I was expecting for the continuation.

Also, I ran a binary comparison on the new version and the old one I had previously downloaded... Author edited chapters 1-4, and corrected some words in chapter 25. Not much changed, but some of the interaction with Rias and Shirou changed sublty, and one very odd addition was made to chapter 3 regarding sexual orientation...

Neoalfa updated 'On Wings of Steel', a TMFSN / Sekirei story... but at the bottom, he noted:

AN: I'm not dead and neither is this story. In the next few days you are going to see a lot of updates both for this one and the others.

I'm gonna have to reread Neoalfa's stuff, fell out of it and still got plenty of quarantine left ><

What is this story about? The cross-over makes me think that I might have read it, but nothing comes to mind ATM.

YMMV though, I remember liking it back in the day and on reread Shirou was TOO OOC for me to enjoy (and I loved Hill of Swords so I can handle OOC). I definitely recommend giving it a shot and the author clearly put a lot of work into it. just not my bag of tea anymore

He also seems to have updated 'On Wings of Steel' a second time, probably right after my post... When I downloaded it, it was at 4 chapters... now looking at it again it is at 5.

EDIT: Read all three... each a little on the shorter side, but nice additions... and does prove hes not dead...

I remember that one shitting all over the DxD half of the cross for the sake of being edgy. It's not good, to say the least.

Depends why reading it, or what want out of it... I liked it.

But, I'd warn my HSDXD tastes are always skewed. I liked the series well enough (bit heavy of fanservice, but liked the rich backdrop), but loathed Issei, and not a big fan of Rias... so any story centering more on Sona's group and less on Rias/Isse is better than one centering on Issei/Rias.

Alternatively, a radically changed Issei I can sometimes deal with... like that one he is a mad scientist... a bit too horror-esque, but a nice change of pace.

I actually like the fact Issei is the 'gallant pervert' stereotype and proud of it. Rias is boring to me, and I hate giant breasts, so the 'petite' girls are the only ones I can stand.

The problem with HSDXD, is not that it has a pervert in it, I've watched plenty with such, and even more with those merely being accused as such... the problem, is with Issei being the main character, and being not just a pervert but a hard core pervert and outright proud of it, but it is told from his mental viewpoint so we get his thoughts and feelings.

THAT, is my problem. Because it utterly destroys story flow.

If Rias is imparting important plot information, or he is in a fight to the death, or some other critical or dramatic moment... these important dramatic or climatic scenes actually get interrupted by his inner dialog on the glories of assets, or rears, or whatever and that he can't keep in control of himself... If he is about to face a strong opponent, he is more worried about 'which side to touch', instead of the more obvious 'how to train'... And death threats against his family makes him more worried about Rias and peerage boobs shrinking.

Had this been told from nearly any other viewpoint, the series would have been better.
