Favorite video game attacks?

Yeah, yeah, I just got back into that a few days ago. Between that and VP, I've got plenty to do.

Just out of curiosity, you don't know how to fix this little glitch I keep hitting that freezes VP when the soundbyte fails to play, do you? I'm using epsxe, and it only does it on voice-overs... it'll be going, then it'll jump to the next line but the sound won't play, and it won't go anywhere... If I shut it down, re-load the file, and then go back through it, it usually doesn't freeze a second time, but it's annoying when it freezes near the end of a sequence.

Lunar 2 seems to have a similar problem, but it just cuts off the voice-over and moves along just fine.

And just so this doesn't get too off topic... let's not forget... OBJECTION!

I don't usually play with sound emulation on, but I'm told that changing the plugin helps with that.

The recommendation is Pete's plugin, IIRC...

Off the top of my head...

Omnislash
D-Drive just for feeling so absurdly powerful
Dan's Super Hadoken
Akuma's Shun Goku Satsu
Dio Brando's "Worldwide Reading" (Za Warudo) and ( Wryyyyyyyyy!) attacks

Thanks! Fix'd.

I've only seen it once, but that cheap trick with the shield in Symphony of the Night. Haven't actually played the game, but I watched a friend use it to kill the final boss in seconds.

It's the Alucard Shield/Shield Rod combo. It's the second fastest way to kill Dracula, as far as I know - the fastest being Crissaegrim with two Rings of Varda equipped.

Strangely my favorite video game attack was from an obscure little PS2 game called Trapt: THE MAN-EATING MUSIC BOX
It's amusing to watch if you have sadistic tendencies like I do.

Not obscure enough. I have it. :snigger:

Then again, I'm a freak. I love all of the Deception games, really.

Hey, didn't know they remade Tales of Destiny for the PS2, looked good. Was it ever released outside of japan?

Oh boy...favorite video games attacks. Lotta the ones I like are already mentioned; basically any attack skill where you just mercilessly keep slamming the enemy and there isn't a thing they can do except be thankfull to die at the end. Stuff like Lionheart, Omnislash, Mirror Slice, Sword Dance, etc.

Video's posted at the start have me itching to go dig up SaGa Frontier and play some. Only path I ever finished was T260Gs.

And I agree with GH 100% that Ether Strike >>>>>>> Rasenshuriken. Lenneth's Divine Assault was also a really cool attack, all three forms of it.

The Tales of Destiny remake hasn't come to America yet, but I believe there are plans.

My brother is a member of their forums.

Also, they've been pretty good about bringing Tales games over.
