Why not be lenient this time? It's his/her second posting after all, and most of us make mistakes when we're not versed in proper etiquette on this forum, so it's no need to be really harsh unless they make the same mistake a second time after being politely warned beforehand..

It's no problem voicing critical opinions over what, most of us learned the easy or or the hard way, is considered necroing, even though I'm of the squeamish opinion that during a few of the first times someone makes these mistakes that we should be nice and try to reason and explain in a polite way that most of us don't like it, even though we're also fallible enough to necro when we feel like it.

Maybe he/she likes the avatar. Just because someone uses the same avatar that some earlier member uses or has used, doesn't mean firsthand that it's a negative thing to use the same avatar as someone else on this forum.
