Interesting. Shinobu is a bit different, in this AU, I see. Did Granny Hina train her, perhaps?

Another thought: what happens when Kanako finds out that her beloved oniichan is alive?

My bets are on Rival Intelligence Agency Operative Shinobu.

ETA: Also, I only just now thought of this, but does this mean that Sousuke is off somewhere, fighting other peoples' wars for ridiculous amounts of money and with the aid of two utterly loyal and devoted Chinese twins?

Small snippet for injusticology.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Grabbing the first thing he could get his hands on, Keitaro lobbed a green onion at the grinning teenager. Had he not looked away for a moment to draw one of his hidden weapons, the MITHRIL agent wouldÆve noticed that the young girlsÆ smile grew even wider then before.

Keitaro withdrew one of his combat knives and prepared to defend himself against the bluette. While he was extremely confident in his skill with it, his orders were very specific about the rules of engagement for this operation. Civilian casualties werenÆt permitted without any exceptions, excluding imminent compromise of MITHRIL security. Protocol dictated he neutralize this threat without causing any permanent harm.

Keitaro barely had enough time to run all this through his mind before he was forced to lunge behind a cabinet to avoid another knife. As he listened to the meaty *Kshnk!* of knife after knife embedding themselves into his cover, an idea bloomed. Careful not to expose any part of his body, he began to whisper into his mouth piece.

ôATLAS Four, calling ATLAS Two, do you copy? Over.ö It was just between the impact of the third and fourth knife when he got a response.

ôATLAS Two responding, whatÆs the situation? Over.ö

ôATLAS Four, IÆm being pinned down by a civilian armed with knives. Requesting N.L.N. support from your position. Over.ö

*Kshnk!*

Keitaro had to resist crossing his eyes when a steak knife burrowed into the wood about six millimeters away from his nose.

ôRoger that, ATLAS Two taking the shot. Over and out.ö

N.L.N, or Non-Lethal-Neutralization, was a procedure that involved shooting a tranquilizer dart into a civiliansÆ neck. This method was used to incapacitate hostile civilians from a distance when hand-to-hand combat wasnÆt possible.

An almost silent *fffft* was the only noise in the room, as a tiny aerodynamic syringe caught the blue-haired girl in the throat. This was followed by a quiet sigh as the drug took effect, and a series of thumps from the civilian toppling over.

Wasting no time, Keitaro shot out from behind cover, and over to the young girl sleeping peacefully on the wooden floor. Chancing a quick check of her pulse, he slung her up over his shoulder in a firemanÆsÆ carry. With the other occupant of the room safetly comatose, Keitaro returned to searching for his Klondike bars.

Bummer... here I thought you were making her a crazed alternate personality, like the Janitor in Fumufo.

I had expected her to know of the incoming syringe (a cook needs to know of their surroundings at all times after all), and take it out with a knife, perhaps block with a frying pan, or actually catch it.

I wonder if anyone's figured out how ATLAS Two is going to be a part of the story yet...

It could, technically, if one thinks about it, be Kentaro.

God I hope not... He was a lame anime addition that had absolutely nothing to do with the series.

Yeah... but Naru liked him...

Think about it, he is male, perverted, obnoxous... give him gun skills and he would be a good replacement for Kurtz Webber.

Except Kurtz was actually good for something, and didn't like hogging all the glory. Plus, Kurtz also had some common sense (albeit, which vanished around beautiful women, or when drunk).

Kentaro thought the best way to woo a girl was to drill a rocket up through the ground, into her house, into the room she's in on the SECOND FLOOR, then damn near abduct her, and fly away in a small circular area.

Naru's incredibly annoying denial of her feelings aside, wouldn't she wonder what he plans to do with her in a locked room way up in the sky?

Hell, now that I think about it, I can just imagine Kentaro asking Naru if she wants to join the Mile-High Club.

Because of unavoidable circumstance Kentaro will not be ATLAS two.

In fact, he is more likely to be a bystander who gets killed in a "very tragic accident".

Why?

Because I hate his guts, no argument.

How, not who, what, or where.

Just how people.

Is ATLAS Two going to be the person who tranquilizes people when it gets too dangerous?

I rather like what you did to Keitaro. He's almost always depicted as he is in Canon, and it's a bit annoying, especially in fanfiction, where people don't want to see the same thing as in Canon. I like it when he either 1) Develops a different personality (like in Keitaro: The Hater of Women) because of early events in his life, or 2) Has nearly the same personality because of recent pre-story events that come to light later on, but is harder to throw around for whatever reason (as seen in Irresistible Force, or Demon's Curse).

You've managed to do the first one almost perfectly, even if we'll probably never figure out where his Klondike Bar obsession came from. Jerk.

unless Keitaro's got some ultra rare bloodtype, like Bombay
What's Bombay Blood?

As for Keitaro's partner... probably female operative. For some reason I keep visualizing them legally married as a cover.

If it's someone from FMP, I'd say either Grey or Mao. If they're from LH, I'd go with Mutsumi or Amalla. Don't ask me why, that's just what I think.

Looking forward to the next bit!

Bombay is a very rare bloodtype except in parts of India where it has been observed a frequency of 1 in 7,600.Wiki-link
IIRC there is a a bloodgroup in South Asia that is so rare there is only less then ten people with at all.

And I really wish that his partner is Kanako, she is my second favourite character in Love Hina only surpassed by Shinobu.

Bombay blood type was refrenced in Yakitake Japan as a marker for royal lineage due to its rarity, the royal family in that episode having it, and their tendency to marry only other royalty.

Yes. That's it. Though, I did learn about it from Yakitate!! Japan, and then looked it up to see if it was real. Which it is.
