Firstly, Masta, you should know why I'm not putting any of them as Shinken Red.
Secondly, let me clarify, my idea was to have one of the Naruto characters (From the Rookie 12, ideally, more specifically I was aiming for Tenten first, Naruto second) is, through family, expected to become a Shinkenger, although with a slightly altered role. Shinkengers in the Naruto verse are drawn from both ninja and Samurai, and only two are required to guard the Shiba Clan's head at a time (Shinken Gold being a wild card in that regard) while the other two are allowed either to continue guarding the lord or work in service to where they were before.
This inclued a complex explanation on just how the Shinkenger Kanji works (through channeling the ranger's inner element in a spiritual sense through their chakra into the phones), Shiken Gold being a wild card because sometimes the phone can be lost for generations at a time (and was developed, in my mind, by a Whirlpool ninja who eagerly wished to assist the more Land of Fire based Shiba's) and a possible alternate story to how these things were started by having the Naruto universe being the Shinkenger one, just years and years after a Juubi fueled apocalypse.
Also, your count is off MoB, 6 Shinkengers, Female Red is a variant on Red, and Brown doesn't count.
Although honestly I really could see a fic where both Tenten and Naruto become Shinkengers. Tenten through a family obligation, and Naruto who, after seeing the Shinkengers in action, either finds the gold phone or, better yet, MAKES his own in Shinken Gold (As a direct parallel to Genta and Antonio, Shinken and Samurai Golds who also made their own phones, although the discs may be harder to explain)
And I'm rambling while half asleep. if the idea sounds half good though guys, tell me and I'll repost it in the misc. ideas topic.

I believe you mean the Konoha 12, not the Rookie 12. That would, in fact, be the Rookie 9 which specfically refers to the three genin teams who had recently graduated and made it to the preliminaries of the Chuunin Exam.
And did you know the Konoha 12 is actually an unofficial term that was used only in the anime? Just an interesting tidbit.

Uh, not really. I haven't gotten around to watching Shinkenger, or Power Rangers Samurai, yet. I only recently finished Gokiager, and I've not managed to finish watching the 199 heroes movie either.
You're wrong about Female red being just a variation, since she actually has her own morpher, as seen in the 199 Heroes movie, and Gokaiger where she has her own Ranger Key, since Basco was able to summon a Ranger clone puppet of her, and Ahim was able to use her key, while Marvelous was using regular ShinkenRed's.
Ah, okay. When you had said the Rookie 12, I assumed you meant all of them, which wouldn't work unless you added a second team of Sentai in, probably Hurricanger.
Ok, that actually sounds really interesting, although I'm not sure how you'd manage the plot of such a thing. I'd actually be pretty interested in reading that, for the first few chapters at least, just to see where you go with it.

... don't know why. Female Red, in shinkenger at least, was the Red Sodaphone being used by a girl, Male and Female Reds never appeared at the same time. Which implies this could be used on the other Sodaphones and the Sushichanger too. Naruto the Male Pink Ranger, anyone?
Although I'll keep that interest in mind, I'm still not comfiterble with getting back into Naruto fanfics yet, but I'll consider it. Regarding a plot, it'd probably revolve around the struggle the Samurai Ranger/Ninja/s have and poosible have changes occur as a result, after all, if a Gold Ranger Naruto is protected by the Shiba clan, it would be hard for Akatsuki to get him without provoking either Konoha or the land of fire. That, and the Naruto world's Sanzu river is starting to rise...
