I can actually see plot potential in Gaara being an Uzumaki... maybe its on his mother's side?

Would it even make a difference? There's enough of a relationship between Naruto and Gaara already which can be explored.

His mother's blonde, it's his dad with the red.

On a side note, anybody noticed that red hair seems to be the rarest?

Look again. He's darker than usual, most likely in a shadow.

That would be an interesting AU, actually. Kushina and Gaara's father were estranged siblings. Kushina left Uzushio to succeed Mito, while her younger brother chose to emigrate to Suna to become a shinobi after the village fell rather than live in his sister's shadow.

We've seen with the zombie kages that the Yondaime Kazekage did love his family even if he was crappy at showing it. Who is to say he didn't love Kushina, even if he couldn't bring himself to show it until after her death? Now she's died for a village that was not her own, at the side of a man that outshined all of the other kages, including her little brother. Of course, that did not set well with him, nor did the discovery that Uzumaki Naruto was Kushina's replacement. Not only had Konoha stolen his sister, now they have taken his nephew, too. All of a sudden he has good reasons to both want a power to counter Konoha in Gaara and to want to see Konoha destroyed.

Fast forward to the Chuunin exams where Temari, as the oldest sibling, is entrusted with the knowledge of her cousin and the task of befriending him in the hopes of convincing him to defect to Suna when the time comes. (Obviously this is before Orochimaru replaces him.)

@Dhampyr: Dude, you're on fire lately. ^_^

Are some of those pics crossover pairings?
No, there all Princess Sara, from one of the Shippuden movies.
oh ok movie girl, the drawing style in that last pic seemed to be slightly out of contrast with Naruto so I thought it was just a crossover girl or something
It's just that she's a princess (yeah, yet another one). If Naruto had stayed back in time and married her, he would have become a bonafide KING.
For some reason, I thought of Spaceballs there. Curse you Maenos Kaen! Now I'm rolling on the floor laughing. :D

That Kyuubi picture could be coupled with the one earlier where Naruto is walking Kyuubi.

Keeping in mind that you're proposing an AU rather than a canonical theory, I think it'd be more likely that the Yondaime Kazekage wasn't a pure-blooded Uzumaki. Rather, it would be his parent who had come from Uzushio to become Shukaku's Jinchuuriki, perhaps to forge an alliance. His other parents would either be a past Kazekage or a relation.

The markings around YK's eyes make me thinks he's the son of a Jinchuuriki like Naruto, and his Jiton would have come from his Suna blood. I doubt he would have gotten the Jiton from his Uzumaki side and it's unlikely (though not impossible) that a direct foreigner would have become Kazekage; especially when they're from a clan with a closer history to Konoha rather than Suna.

Shukaku had to have had more than one host over 80 years so the Yondaime Kazekage's father or mother being the former jinchuuriki for Shukaku is plausible.

It was noted that the Third Kazekage's Iron Sand technique were based on Shukaku's Jinchuuriki's sand abilities. So there were at least two; Gaara and the one TK copied off of.

Yeah, he is. Chiyo says so <a href='http://178.21.19.200/manga/mangas/Naruto/261%20-%20Jinch¹rikià!!%20/naruto_ch261_p05.png' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>here.</a>

Is that any distinct style of puppetry there?

Looks like Muppet style or the kind of hand puppets used in the Puppet Pals skits, which is similar.

In the original Avenue Q the puppeteers could be seen by the audience, they didn't hide themselves behind walls or in dark body suits like in many other puppet shows.
