Bleach Genderbent Chaos

Due to Timewave Zero's work at school, he has put off writing for his Ichigo/Fem!Byakuya (known as Byakuren to us), but given me the premise for how he would write the story:

Well, I suppose it could be interesting, though if you're going with the always female slant, you have to make it woefully uncomfortable when Ichigo finds out.

Also, everyone has to assuming Ichigo swings "that way" since Byakuya is normally pretty good at keeping it a secret.

I think that a few characters in this alternate universe should remain the same gender to make the dynamics a bit more interesting. You can pick who those would be; I don't care since I'm not the one writing.

For example, it might be an interesting dynamic if the fem!Ichigo's best friend was the still-male Chad. Or anything else similar.

Hmm... will almost everyone in this alt-universe be gender switched? This would of course lead to slightly different powers, as I doubt Orihime-kun (A man named princess?) would be wearing hair clips.

I'd think the easist genderbend would be a fem!Renji. Especially if it went Byakuya/fem!Renji. One of fem!Renji's motivations could be just wanting to be by his side.

Though a fem!Ichigo/Fem!Issin or Masaki interactions could be a hell of alot of fun.

... I am now of the opinion that Ishida would have been epic as a girl. And such a thing would have made it easier to bite when the character suddenly shifted sides from serious antagonist to ally. And of course epic lulz with Orihime in soul society to boot.

Of course, there are many awesome things to be said about a girl who gains massive power rapidly to save her friends, and has a dark, evil inner self.

Imagine her having to beat off numerous suitors... Including guys she kicked the crap out of. Can you say "epic lulz?"

Ichigo calls Tatsuki by her family name (iirc, maybe wrong), Rukia by her personal name, Orihime by her family name, Chad by a nickname -- Sado is his family name, which Ichigo first read as "Chado" since the first syllables are related in kanji (i.e., tea), and his personal name is Yasutora; Ishida Uryu gets called by his family name since they were originally at odds with each other; and he calls most, if not all, of the people from Soul Society that he interacts with by their personal names.

This is going by scans anyway; I can't read the raw. I only have the info on Chad since I looked up how his name is written in kanji out of curiosity.

Personally I'd find Fem!Ichigo developing a crush on Byakuya after the Soul Society arc to be simply hilarious, since he isn't a bloodthirsty whackjob like Kenpachi and he is pretty bishonen. And Rukia wanting to tease Ichigo about it... And being punted like a football. :lol:

Inoue is the family name. I know because I have the manga. I checked.

Chad's first name is Yasutora. It's why Hiyori said, that line about a tiger and a princess when they confronted her. Tora=Tiger Hime=Princess.

And so during the 'catch-up my sleep because I went to sleep at 330 in the morning' periods between my calculus and chemistry study sessions, I ended up dreamstorming an introductory snippet of say a good 3-5k for Fem!Bleach universe w/ male Ichigo.

Yup, you heard right, I'm gonna make every male female and every female male. The main focus will most likely be Fem!Byakuya (Byakuren)/Ichigo with hints of Fem!Kisuke, Renji and Gin, on the side. For that extra dose of epic lulz.

I'll start writing it later tonight.
