Just for you Raine I'll sum up my below statement: Your not making any sense explain yourself and stop being butthurt over nothing.

further details below.

Lord Raine said:
You'll probably LOVE to know I was raised Catholic, Irish Catholic sure but Catholic all the same.
Didn't pay much attention then, did you?

Leave the lore talk to the people who actually know the lore. And go be butthurt somewhere else. Nobody gives a shit.
I paid about as much attention [to dogma] as I could bare with  Though the old and new books of their mythology was pretty funny to read.

I'm hardly butthurt here but since you just HAD to be the one to bring it up, what exactly DID I say that ticked you off? I'm honestly stumped on this particular topic, usually I can determine just what it is -after a couple tests- but your in a fine mood so lets get to the juicy bits. But seriously, not understanding why in this instance.

I would take this to PM but your que was full the last few times so I'm not seeing the point.

In either case, correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not not unwilling to learn but unless someone tells me how you can hardly blame me for not just assuming otherwise.

Ya, I'll admit to skimming through it all but from what I've read it tells me nothing about the church's stance on witchcraft, how they define it and what they would do about it.

I guess since its explicitly stated what to do in the bible in case of witchcraft they didn't need to give it further thought. :huh.:

it says "burn the witch" right here

1 God, infinitely perfect and blessed in himself, in a plan of sheer goodness freely created man to make him share in his own blessed life. For this reason, at every time and in every place, God draws close to man. He calls man to seek him, to know him, to love him with all his strength. He calls together all men, scattered and divided by sin, into the unity of his family, the Church. To accomplish this, when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son as Redeemer and Saviour. In his Son and through him, he invites men to become, in the Holy Spirit, his adopted children and thus heirs of his blessed life.

2 So that this call should resound throughout the world, Christ sent forth the apostles he had chosen, commissioning them to proclaim the gospel: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age."4 Strengthened by this mission, the apostles "went forth and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by the signs that attended it."

regarding Herminone and station / profession, you could change the parents from dentist to surgeons who sometimes aid the nobility as an unofficial court dentist.

surgeon was potentialy a higher status job and was definitely a educated job (university learning, an aprenticeship, and liscence to practice as a surgeon from the local guild [of barbers and surgeons ? know barbers sometimes assisted as surgeons])

this would let you preserve Hermione as well read upper middle class

You do now, it is very impolite to post in a thread that has not seen any activity in a while. If you wish to comment on a dead thread, send a PM to the author.

Yeah, but he (she?) had something to say that actually contributes to the thread, rather than asking if it was dead, yet.

Also, this is an Ideas thread, not a Previews thread, so it matters even less.

yep. There's specific rules on necros, iirc that wouldn't fall under it because it was constructive.

It's even a decent idea.
