Also, haha:
Resuscitation of AgapÚ
Side note: AgapÚ goes crappy towards the end, but the hook of it amuses me enough to have read it all.
I'm greatly amused to see this one brought up.
Some interesting stories:
You Have Always Believed Me by funvince. Very short, but nice. Also, the one-shot 'Hermione's Change' is enjoyable as well.
Unsung Hero. One of those stories where Harry's twin is the boy who lived, and he's a Slytherin. This one's nice.
Yet another Sibling-Who-Lived Fic. Exactly what the title says. It's well written, but unfortunately abandoned.
If you like long stories, then
Harry Potter and The Three Travellers may be for you. Currently my favourite long H/Hr story that I can think of right now.
Harry Potter and the Color of Magic is a nice crossover with the Discworld, but the H/Hr element is miniscule.
Same with
Holding Court, which IIRC is H/Hr, but I don't remember if Hermione even gets any lines in this one. Oh well, it's still a great story, from what I remember of it.
Author: Chem Prof. Soul Searching/End Game is great. Although there is a minor H/G element that leads End Game to end with three separate endings...
If you're more interested in the pairing than the setting/plot, then Portkey is probably where you want to go. By which I mean half of the stories are basically one shots where the interesting parts of the HP world are completely ignored in favour of romance. Some of the better stories from portkey:
Author: Stoneheart. Stories tend to be more romance.
Author: Jardyn. Has a unique writing style. Plus, some nice long stories as well!
Author: Canoncansodoff. Warning, this author has a story that is definitely at least a high R rating, so I decided not to put the actual link here.
Author: uvagirl. Some high-rating stories. Mostly humor, fun to read.
Epiphanies, by romulus lupin. This is one of the older ones (note the story ID#), and is heavily romance.
Author: fenriswolf. Sorry for the lack of link, but I'm too lazy to track this one down because I don't have a direct link to his profile, and his
Yahoo Group has at least one story that isn't on his Portkey profile.
Also,
here is Portkey's recomendation list, sorted in descending order by word length. Suggested stories from the list:
Acceptance of Fate
Year of Rebellion
Paradise Lost (Read the prequel Trouble in Paradise)
Triumvirate of Resolve
Fifth Element
From page 2:
Secrets, Lies and the Daily Prophet
Orb of Slytherin
A Serpent's Sacrifice
Finally, if you like Vampire stories:
Blood Bound.
... I think that's enough material to last you a few weeks.
