A while ago I linked a fight doujin from a guy who, while not even close to the best of artists, had a lot of interesting alt ideas and fights. Dude's been updating quite consistently it seems with good stuff. Here's his set for Kyoraku's bankai, which is rather inspired honestly:

Quite fun to run through to say the least. Also he's starting another interesting looking set with this, which actually is quite intriguing since it covers why the hell Hitsugaya was the only one to freak out about his spirit going missing:

Yeah, that guy has some cool ideas. At first I thought he was just gonna do a "Chess Game of Death" which is pretty typical (I've never seen it done before but it just seems so obvious). But bringing together all Shunsui's shikai death games with some bonuses like that was nice and gives a damn good reason for why he wouldn't use it around others.

Ichigo has Quincy powers? I stopped reading a while ago, so please explain. What the hell is going on in Bleach and why does it sound like a fanfic?

Have you actually read a story where Ichigo has Quincy powers or was that a random comparison.

Anyway, Ichigo's mom was a Quincy, his inner hollow is actually his zanpakuto and Old Man Zangetsu is his Quincy power. All quincy powers come from the Quincy King and Old Man takes the form of said king.

Edit: And that was even worse than a double-post.

Zangetsu telling Ichigo to use the reishi in the air isn't really evidence. Unless zanpakuto are ignorant of that type of thing (or even the colour of spirit ribbons), which would imply that it's Juha Bach's knowledge coming into play.

None of that, save maybe the cloak absorbtion, is evidence. It's a lot of scenes which could be taken to mean something else under the new context given the information that's also been omitted. It's nothing that didn't already make sense before, which is the real kicker. When you start adding more context to those scenes, then the massive continuity issues start coming into play.

I shouldn't even have to (Though mind I did already several times). Practically every scene covering Zangetsu has massive continuity issues with this reveal, and literally none of that evidence provided, save maybe the cloak thing and that's tenuous at best, didn't already have a perfectly valid explanation before. Hell, several of those scenes make less sense with the reveal or trying to use it with the new context "I am Zangetsu", walking on air, and the sword shape in particular. :sweat2:

Oh right. He actually got the power when he released his reiatsu to the max to escape a cage made from Quincy power. He ended up absorbing the Quincy's reiatsu when his own reiatsu returned to him which 'woke up' his Quincy bloodline. Like when his Shinigami powers awoke when he fought the Menos after using Rukia's powers for a while.
