Ahh that makes quite a bit more sense. Sometimes, when you guys are making these amazing leaps of logic that all of you are wont to make, you seem to trip up somewhere along the way and fall into that canyon of uncertainty inbetween.
I believe it's called 'being so uncaring it warps the universe'.

Meh, I prefer to think of it as jumping over a pothole and into a canyon.

Oh yes indeedy, that's what the board is for.

Just be prepared for the thread to be highjacked and be dragged *way* off topic from time to time. :) But if you've read all the way up to this point in the thread, you've probably already figured that one out. :D

Hijacking threads? Us?

Why Hawk, what are you talking about? :D
Yeah, what do you mean, Hawk? We're all honest perverts... I mean persons, here. Not forum terrorists, nossiree.

...and if you believe that, I've got an used Death Star to sell you...

Us?!? Hijack a thread? *tucks semi-auto gun into back pocket* Why I would never hijack anything and I'm sure the same can be said for my good collegues (sp?) GH and F-One, isn't that right guys? We are merely doing our part to encourage friendly and lively discussion within the board, it's okay if it wonders a little bit because one can only talk about Shinji's love life for so long before one feels the need to dicuss other topics.

Meh, once you learn to anticipate Sin Harvest, Suckeroth is a complete wimp. Never had much trouble.
Descend Heartless Angel. (Dumbest name ever.)
Feh, Seph never EVER hit me with that. His regular attack is a lot more threatening.

Granted, I'm used to playing Zelda, so kicking ass that way is second nature to me. But Seph was still a huge disappointment. I found OoT's underground dragon boss, Volvagia, much harder. HELLO LINK, I CHOP OFF EIGHT OF YOUR HEARTS IN ONE HIT, AND YOU HAVE SIXTEEN AT BEST. 2HKO bosses with awesome range who are invincible most of the time suck. Stupid dragon.

What are you referring to when you say '2HKO'? Gah I hate abbreviations.

And yes that fire dragon was a huge pain in the ass, though not as much of a pain as making it through the Shadow Temple was.

Wait, are you talking about the Fire Temple boss? The one you need to use the Megaton Hammer on? Uhh, I killed that guy EASY... Granted, it was quite a few years back, but I recall no problem with that boss whatsoever...

It means 2 Hit Knock Out.

EDIT: Also, FUCK the Shadow Temple. The Water Temple is my bane. ESPECIALLY when since I had to save IN THE MIDDLE of it, and not play the game for... oh, I don't know, a year (It was the second or third run through the game)... <_< I had no fucking idea what I was doing when I reload that save game.

Ohhh Hyne I had forgotten about that, yes I agree with you the water temple was offically HELL. That had to have been one of the THE MOST annoying temples in any game ever, not to mention that fricking near invincible tentacle that you had to fight at the end.

Oh and I hate it when you leave a game for awhile and then come back and have no clue what's going on, that's happened to me bunches of times.

The boss I had little trouble with (hell, I thought that the sub-boss (Shadow Link) was kind of a cool enemy), but DAMN I hated that level. No matter how much fun I had screwing around with that clone, I never wanted to play that level again. Which, now that I think of it, is probably why I quit halfway through in the second run... <_<

I don't usually have trouble picking up where I left off in most games, but god, I had no idea whatsoever at what I was suppose to do when I reloaded my save game in that temple.

Now, I'm off, my DVD burning just completed, and I'm itching to play Disgaea.

Well, my problem with the Fire Temple was simply that Volvagia only had a very brief window in which to slam him with the hammer. And if you got caught in his flaming mane, you'd lose at least 8 hearts.

It's not a matter of his pattern being obvious, but a matter of you not being able to afford getting hit more than once. The fact the platform is incredibly small helps none.

Admittedly, Volvagia was much much harder in Zelda II: AoL.

Mind you, Bongo Bongo can be even more vile. If you run out of arrows, you die. Joy...

Ganon was... a letdown.

And yes, Fatuous is right. 2HKO means two-hit knockout, much like OHKO means one-hit knockout.

On a side note, I recently replayed Knights of the Round, an old Capcom slasher. I had forgotten how hideously hard the bosses were...

Mmm, I was able to get a time frame for it. Admittedly, I lost a life there, but I usually kept several bottles of fairies with me, so it wasn't a problem. If I wasn't close enough for a hit when he fell, I just stayed away for a better opening.

When you say Zelda 2, you mean the side scroller, right? I couldn't finish that game when I had it, <_< I found it... boring, somewhat.

Regarding Bongo Bongo, yeah, you were fucked if you used up all your arrows. However, by that point, you should usually be skilled enough with it to kill him easily. Granted, I was somewhat obsessive about completing some of the mini-games, but I didn't have any problems with BB thanks to it. ^_^

Ganon was easy, plain and simple, I had a harder time with Phantom Ganon (although, I got killed multiple time against PG, as it took me forever to figure out how to actually hurt the bastard).

On a related subject, you guys looking forward to Twilight Princess? I'm fairly glad that they are not doing cel-shading with this one myself. It was an interesting experience with Wind Waker, but I got tired of it really fast.

Eh, Link as a werewolf sounds... cheesy to me. But I'll buy TP regardless.

Any more cheesy then him being transformed into a Deku (or Gorgon, or... whatever the hell the Merfolk were called)?

I suppose they're just trying out new (See: old, and recycled) ideas out.

Yah, H-Man has it right.

Forest Sprite = Deku Scrub

Earth Golem = Goron

Water Spirit = Zora

And I've had my copy of TP reserved for over a year now, but the damn bastards at Nintendo keep pushing back the release date though.
