well I am suitably impressed...

Blacklillian's was pretty dark (I guess one can afford that when the plan is to wish everyone back alive at the end) I thought she treated the extended cast of characters well without losing focus on her main confrontation. The battle of philosophy between Karl and the Doc as he fended off the statue's ambush strikes was interesting and engaging. The ending of the fight was a cool solution with the magic absorption idea. I do have to agree that the ending of the comic of a whole was very cliche but I can give it a pass...

Unknowns are a real rush, the fights were varied and interesting, with each phase of karl's opponents switching and using a style appropriate to that character. There was still plenty of story and good use of the extended cast... even more extended as Euria got some unexpected screen time. I will need to watch it a few more times to try and catch what some of the quickly flashed imagery was... I can't tell if the red head was killed by other humans and he killed them or if he killed the red head... either way I'm guessing that despite his 'death' a win by unknown would show that the pieces of karl were brought back to the castle of nations (just my opinion). But even if not it is the end of a very interesting and enjoyable villain.

Both are amazing works...it's really hard to sway either way on this, I'd be happy for either contestant to win. I'm still left wanting to know more about karl, it's amazing how engaging he is with as little as we really know about him at his core. (hollow though he may be *bad pun*)

I have to say that I really liked this round. Especialy with the Climber fight. Not that it was particularily epic, but Karl's weapon? Oddly similar to a certain pick-axe.

I also find it odd that he doesn't really know Climber's name, but recognizes him.

Another awesome fact about this fight. Karl's biggest weakness? Bullets. Sure, he can block them with Arma, but if you hit him? Critical damage. I loved the bit with the Prof shooting him, and you coulc just watch the bullet shoot out everything.

Still, I wonder what exactly was up with the magic circle?

... I have no words.

I was pissed off all day since my internet was screwing with me again, and I could only finish the first part. However, I managed to read Black Lillian's first. A very solid finalie, particularly with Climber vs. Endling's character (A certain irony in itself) although it looked like he still had a bit of the wolf in him in that one.

And then my internets settled down and I watched Unknowns.

...

Holy. Hell. I won't say it was without flaws, and there was a bit I didn't understand, and I really wanted Mizuno to play more than a bit part. But the end nearly made me cry. Nearly made me cry.

That was a fitting end, right there. I won't deny Black Lillian's was very strong in it's own right, but it's so very rare for something to elict such a deep emotion in me.

Further... it makes me weep for the tournament in general. We lost a lot of good characters early on, and the whole theme of Bad Guy's for the most part taking the stage was greatly lost. And yet, in it's own way, the end made me think back to that, as the baddies were coming out of the woodworks, all hope seemed lost, and then the heros came and, against all odds, turned the tides in one fell swoop.

Bravo Black Lillian. Bravo all tournament goers. Bravo Sins of Angels. And Bravo to you too, Unknown-Person. Law of Talos was amazing, and I eagerly await the verdict. While Endzone still remains dear to my heart, you've earned a place there as well. You put on an incredible show.

And now I am inspired. Off to the RPG section.

And some one hit up on Unknown's biggest flaw:

He didn't finish. Blacklillian's entry completed the tourney, and saw it all the way through to the end. While, with Unknown, we see Karl on the cusp of victory, only to be struck down.

The Proffessor and Annie's story had an ending. Karl's... didn't. It's an incomplete product, with so many hooks at the end, you can't help but go "WHERE'S THE REST?!".

I find myself hoping for a 'finished' version of the final round.
