I got a Gremlin. I also screwed up in the first five levels, but oh well.

BTW, you can only have up to 20 avatar characters, INCLUDING deleted ones. Just warning you.

Signed up as inDeeD, I'm at level 22. The game gets REALLY boring at that point, since quests are few to be seen, and I'm getting my ass kicked by people who likely pay for membership (and thus can use scripts to play). Not sure if I'll continue playing after this.

I'm level 24, and I am getting my ass kicked by everyone.

Even level 18 players. I can only fight the level 20/21 NPCs and have a chance to win. It is really depressing.

That's probably because the ones you are fighting have better builds than you. Builds make or break you.

Here, this is a link to the Duels forum where they talk about builds:

Enjoy.

Same as Ray, I started over. I fucked up my stats, so even though I was level 10 I was always losing.

Now I've got Raven Korellian, Level: 4, Record: 18 - 0 (100.0%). Of course, that's just NPCs, but I'm doing much better this time. Man, you NEED to boost Stamina.

F*&^. I managed to lose once. Now it's 43 - 1 (97.7%). Shit, I'll never be able to get back that 100%. I hate you, Zortana the Blind. So unfair, I won three Skirmishes, and two Challenges, how'd I lose one?

... you know, I'm struggling with this game. I keep on losing to lower-level players, which makes me think I don't have very good weapons or armor.

... Any suggestions for getting better w/o using PayPal?

I had the same problem, so I bought a super hardcore sword to bring me up to snuff.

'Course now I'm occasionally losing to players two levels below me...

I think I'm gonna bail. This game is WAY too dependent upon builds, there's no way to advance outside of paypal, or acting like the human version of a bot.

Honestly, if I'm going to spend $200 on an online game, it better be absolutely awesome.

Nothing I've seen so far is that great. Not yet, anyway.

Eh.

The problem is that there's very little strategy used in fights, which means using your brain to turn the tide of the battle is out of the question. Also, the thing's too damn build dependent. You fuck up a few times, and your character will suck forever, as the only way to reliably advance levels is through quests. Get stuck on a quest due to a shitty character build, and it's over. No way to rectify your mistakes.

You can't even play around with you're build without completely destroying you're character.

So in effect, all the game boils down to is "Click Skirmish 3 times per person, per day. Every time you reach X tokens, buy a Pack."

... ... you can buy a pack w/o C-coins?!

Why doesn't anyone tell me anything!!!

... should I buy the really expensive new one, or 7 of the small one?

Expensive ones have a higher chance of netting you better gear, but I think the less expensive ones offer you a slightly better chance of getting better scrolls. So, that depends what you're doing it for, the scrolls or the gear. Scrolls are temporary, but can be used by anyone, gear eats up power, but is permanent. I have a LOT of stuff I can't use yet.

Right now, I'm trying to puzzle out Action Sets or what have you, since Luthorne, my High Assassin, just hit 25. I probably screwed up my build, but meh. Also, what the fuck is 'precision'? Do they mean perception, or is it something completely different?

Precision is a combination of Speed and Perception, go read the wiki files on attributes.

Whenever you duel with Actions, choose 1g Actions. You get a lot more tokens , XP and gold that way, as well as packs occasionally, IIRC.

Once you hit 25 things speed up again thanks to low-cost Action duels.

By the way, quests sometimes just have nasty customers regardless of builds. Fenwright Stamos, the Super Green Mime and a couple others come to mind...

Tried to play this, but I gave up. Like previously mentioned, too build-dependent, experimenting punishes the player, and you really have to pay to be good.

Not to mention really, really repetitive.

I actually whupped Fenwright Stamos first time around...

I'm looking for good Mage equipment for a L11 Staff user. Anybody wanna trade?

Is anyone still playing this? Because I'm willing to give away most/all of the goodies I've gotten.
